We are Grounders

ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕋𝕨𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕪 𝕋𝕙𝕣𝕖𝕖 - ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕖𝕢𝕦𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕤

"Go." Braeya says, and Indra marches outside to see what Octavia wants. The second Indra is gone, Braeya hurries up to Lincoln and puts her hands delicately around his face. "What did she do to you?" Braeya whispers sadly. Lincoln's mouth contorts into a small smile, acknowledging her presence. Indra's reply to Octavia rings back but Braeya ignores it.

"She's going to kill you, isn't she?" Braeya takes a deep breath at his silence, "I'm getting you out of here."

"No!" Suddenly Lincoln springs to life, his eyes stare into hers desperately. "Don't endanger yourself for me."

"Are you serious? I'm not going to let you die here." Braeya murmurs. An agonised yell from outside the gates draws Braeya's attention. "I won't." She reassures before scurrying to a small hole in the rubble guarding Tondc.

Peering through, she sees Octavia, standing with a knife to Nyko's neck. "Enough. Nyko is our only healer." Indra walks past outside, obstructing Braeya's view for a few moments.

"Good. Then you'll do as I say." Octavia pulls Nyko's head back threateningly and pushes the knife harder against his neck. "Bring Lincoln to the place I saw him last. He knows where that is. Just you and him, no one else. If I see anyone else... I'll kill your healer. You have until dark." Her voice commands Indra, filled with a menacing tone.

"Get up." Octavia growls to Nyko and he struggles to his feet. She pulls him back slowly as she retreats, still holding the knife firmly against Nyko's neck.

"We have to give Lincoln to her." Braeya says as soon as Indra returns.

"He deserves to die." Indra glares at Lincoln.

"It's just like you said, Nyko is our only healer. What happens if the Reapers come back? If we have to fight Skaikru again? We need Nyko to treat our wounds." Braeya reasons, desperately hoping her words will spare Lincoln's life.

Indra stares at Braeya silently for a few moments, mulling over her argument. "Fine." And without another word, she disappears.

Lincoln and Nyko were taken by Reapers. Indra came back that night, explaining how when she was handing Lincoln over, the Reapers attacked.

Braeya stands with a small group warriors just outside the entrance of Tondc, waiting for Indra to arrive. Indra wants to go after the Reapers to get Nyko back and Braeya specifically requested to be on this mission so that she can go after Lincoln as well.

"Taim yu drag raun, taim yu ge ban au. Oso souda lok em veida tro op fou bilaik emo hon emo sobwe op." (If you fall behind, you get left behind. We must stop the raiding party before they reach the tunnels. You all know what happens if we don't.) Braeya is startled out of her thoughts by Indra's voice. She marches past the group and they follow. "Pas daun, em bilaik-" (After that, it is-) Her commands cut off as she notices Octavia appear through the trees.

"You're going after the Reapers. Lincoln taught me how to fight, let me help." Octavia calls out to the group.

"Kill her." Indra orders, sending most of the group charging after Octavia, who flees. Braeya hangs back, not wanting to anger the wound in her shoulder before necessary.

They return several minutes later, unsuccessful. "You lost her?" Indra seethes. Once again, Braeya is impressed by Octavia's perseverance.

"Tam ma gatru sodwe zo na teg'ma we na ge hod op fou'ma hon da sobwe de op." (If they took the southern pass, we should be able to head them off before the tunnel). One of the older warriors tries to talk strategy as they group walks.
