Epilogue

Julia's POV

        It's been 8 years since we both left Neverland behind and I truly missed it there but we made the right choice coming back.

I was at the grocery store just picking up a few things like cereal and orange juice while Connor was back at home doing who knows what.

Suddenly my phone rang and I checked the newest message that had just come in.

From: Connor <3

        You better hurry up with the groceries. Peter and Wendy are starting to miss you.

I smiled at the text and started making my way to the counter.

I payed for everything and started loading them into the trunk of my car then started driving back to the house.

Once I got there I was greeted by both my son and my daughter, and of course my husband.

He gave me a short peck on the lips, before I carried Peter, balancing him on my hip.

"How are you doing, little guy", I asked and he let out a giggle.

Peter was 2 years old and he had just started walking on his own. Although, he wasn't very good yet. He had my nose but everything else was Connor.

Wendy on the other hand was 5 and she was pretty much my exact replica except for her smile which was definitely Connor's.

"Mommy! Daddy said that he's going to bring me to the mall tomorrow."

"Really? Can mommy and Peter come with you?", I asked and her face lit up.

"Of course!"

I put Peter down as he started walking back to the huge pile of toys in the living room that he had been playing with a few moments ago.

I felt someone hug me from behind and I instinctively leaned into his warm embrace.

"I'm glad we came back," he whispered in my ear and placed a gentle kiss to my temple.

"Me too."

"Staying young is nothing compared to being happy."

We just stood like that for a while longer, hugging by the front door.

"I do miss Neverland though. And those fruits that you would bring for me."

"Is there anything else that you miss?" he asked.

"Well, I miss being able to fly. It took me literally forever to learn."

A mischievous grin appeared on his face and I wondered what he had planned this time.

He pulled out an all too familiar purple pouch with gold strings out of the pocket of his hoodie and my eyes went wide.

"Connor!" I said in disbelief as he sprinkled the golden glitter onto my head and I sneezed while he let out a small chuckle.

"You never told me what your happy thoughts were back then."

"It was you," I said sheepishly and he smiled wide.

"I love you," he replied, placing a sweet kiss to my lips.

He sprinkled more of gold glitter onto my head and I started sneezing again.

"You really are allergic to this stuff, aren't you?" he asked and I shrugged.

He sprinkled some on himself too and within seconds our heads were touching the ceiling as we began racing around the house, being careful not to make too much noise.

Wendy and Peter were probably in bed by now, more or less asleep.

"I caught you!" Connor declared in a hushed whisper as he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer.

Suddenly, we heard 2 pairs of footsteps coming down the stairs and towards the living room and Connor and I immediately grabbed onto the couch trying our best not to float.

"Mommy. Daddy. We can't sleep," Wendy said as she played with the hem of her baby pink nightgown.

"Can you tell us a story?" Peter mumbled as he went over to his daddy and Connor lifted him up onto his shoulders.

We immediately smiled. The story that we were to tell them already decided.

I picked Wendy up, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

Then Connor broke the silence.

"Have you guys ever heard of a place called Neverland?"

A/N: And that is the end of this story. I ended it on mine and Connor's birthday bc why not. I'm truly gonna miss writing this bc I'm pretty sure most of you are aware about my love for peter pan.
