Marinette's PoV
3 months later...
The akuma attacks have gotten harder...on top of that, Luka and I have been distant since we haven't seen eachother that much...
It's patrol and I stand on the top of the Eiffel Tower. Looking out in the distance, I let out a sigh. Curling up in a ball, I cry. Chat arrives and sits besides me.
"What's up bugaboo?"
I wipe my tears, "it's...it's just Hawkmoth and Mayura have won...and with Master Fu is gone..."
He hugs me, "don't cry..."
"I just don't remember the last time I felt free..."
Chat fiddles with his fingers, "you can do it, I believe in you m'lady..."
Hawkmoth...I know you're nearby. I can feel it...I will find you...

(Transport to the next day and Ladybug is at the news station)

"And when I do," I say addressing the camera, "you will be beaten. Paris cannot be tainted with your cruel crimes and disgusting desires...me and my team of amazing superheroes will defeat you. You wait. And Mayura, you should be disappointed in yourself for supporting him..."
"...and cut!"
I let out a sigh of relief and leave, only to be met with Chat Noir.
"I'm sorry..." I say.
He tilts his head, "what for Ladybug? You did the right thing, well done...just, include me next time..."
I nod.

Arriving at school, I de-transform and bump into Kagami.
"Oh! Hey Marinette! Have you seen Adrien?"
I shake my head, "no, anyways, would you like to hang out?"
Humming, she smirks, "sure, the autumn theme park is open! Shall I invite Adrien?"
"Sure!"
She smiles and nods, "ok! Hey, I was meaning to ask you, how do you feel?"
She takes my hand and we sit.
"...well...I've been quite vulnerable recently..."
Kagami sadly hugs me, "oh, I'm so sorry! I'm here to talk to you! Me and Adrien will be there for you!"
Smiling, we talk for a few minutes until the bell rings.
"You know Marinette, you need to find yourself..."
Find myself...find myself...
As Kagami walks away, I pull out my phone and look at myself in the camera.

Later that evening, I head to the hairdressers.
"Hello, how may I help you?"
"Cut it off...up to here," I motion to above my shoulders. The hairdresser smirks.
"Sure thing little princess!"
I gasp, "Ch-Chat?"
"Huh?"
"N-never mind..."
It is time for me to be free...and to focus on myself...

No one's PoV
Adrien and Kagami arrive at the theme park. They see a girl come up to them.
"Hey guys!"
They look at the girl and take a double-take.

"Marinette?!" They say, shocked.
She giggles and waves, "sup?"
"Wow! Marinette, I didn't recognise you!"
She smiles and winks, "well, I'm going to be changing a lot in the next week!"
Kagami links arms with Marinette and says, "we look like twins!"
Marinette giggles, "I love it! I feel so much more free!"
She twirls about and Adrien is still looking at her. 'WOW,' he thinks, 'she's beautiful...I'm so glad to see her having fun!'
The three of them get inside and are welcomed with colour!

Marinette excitedly dances around, "this is amazing! So much inspiration!"
Squealing, she pulls out her sketchbook and pencil, only to be knocked over and she falls on the floor.
She lets out a cry as people walk around and over her.
"Hey!" Adrien exclaims, "move it! Get out the way!" Kagami joins in and shoves people out the way.
Marinette cries and Adrien hugs her.
"Hey, I got you! OI! Are you crazy?" He yells. People turn around.
"Look at her! You just step all over her and just care about yourselves, huh?"
...
"Adrien, hey, step back..." Kagami whispers through the grit of her teeth, "they won't listen..."
"DON'T YOU SEE?! These people are so selfish and horrible!" Adrien starts to angrily rant.
Marinette sits there and wipes her tears. She stands up.
"Stop."
"What?" Adrien asks.
"Just stop..." She says in a hurt tone.
"...ok..." he says worryingly. Kagami, meanwhile, frowns.
Why won't he listen to me?
Picking up her sketchbook, Marinette sits at a bench nearby.
"You two should go have fun! I-I'll be sat here..."

Marinette's PoV
I start to sketch and finish a design in about half an hour.

A voice says, "that looks cute..."
I look to my side and smile, "thank you..."
The old man smiles, "you don't know me, but I know you Marinette...or should I say Coccinelle..."
I gasp, "what, what are you on about, I'm sorry but-"
Tikki tugs me from the jacket. I look at her and she smiles and nods.
"...how do you know?"
"I am Master Wang...I am part of the Tibetan Monk civilisation that Master Fu was a part of..."
I feel a tear gather and shakily say, "M-Master Fu..."
I think about everything that he did for me. There was the day he healed Tikki, when he let me choose miraculous holders, then there was Sandboy, and Feast, and so much...the final day, when I gave him to Marianne...
I drop my book, which hits me into reality as I see Adrien and Kagami worryingly asking me if I was ok. I look to my side and see he is gone.
I grab my book and bag and run around the fun fair.
"Mister Wang?! Mister Wang! Where are you?"
"M-Marinette!" I see them come for me but I melt into the crowds.
"Mr Wang! Please!"
I eventually reach the cue for the Ferris wheel and see him.
"Excuse me, I-I need to get through! My, uhhh, my uncle is there!"
The security nods and lets me through.
"Good job coccinelle..." he smiles, "we have to talk..."
We sit in a small pod on our own.
"...Master Fu, he's gone..."
"What?"
"No, I mean, he's still alive but...he passed on the miracle box to me..."
Master Wang hums, "well, if he did that then he probably wasn't thinking straight..."
"Master Wang, I know of Master Fu's past life...he told me...but he has changed...he was, is, an amazing person..." I tearfully say.
Master Wang looks at me and sighs, nodding.
"Very well..."
I smile, "thank you..."

We get off the ride and I see Adrien stay at a bench.
Worryingly, I say, "I have to go, I really do!"
He nods.
I sit at the bench and sit beside him, "hey what's up?"
"Me and Kagami got into a little argument..."
"...I'm sorry...tell me..."
He chuckles, "she thinks that I don't truly like her...and she thinks I like you more..."
I blush, "well, I wouldn't mind..."
He looks at me, slightly red, "what?"
"N-nothing, I just, mean, I wouldn't mind Kagami, she is probably a bit insecure..."
He stutters, "o-oh..."
I sigh, "let's go find her..."
He shakes his head, "no point, she's gone home, let's have fun, hm?"
Smiling, I nod.
