This story will most likely mainly be in Richie's POV, only sometimes ( possibly ) being in Stanley's.

* Richie's POV *

Today is the start of September. You know what that means, right? Back to school! Yay. My favourite.

One person who helps me through hell and loves me no matter what is Beverly Marsh. She is the only thing keeping me sane. I love her with all my heart but I would never picture me and her dating.

I can't wait to see her again even though I only saw her, what is it? 2 days ago?

I smile to myself at the thought of her. It's 6:50 am and school starts at 8. I get up and walk into the bathroom. I change out of my clothes and step into the shower.

I don't care if the noise wakes up my parents or if my dad hits me for it because I'm used to it by now. After 10 minutes, I step out and go into my bedroom after wrapping a towel around myself.

I throw on a white t-shirt and put a Hawaiian shirt over it. I put on jeans and random vans. I slip on my gigantic glasses over my eyes and brush my messy hair. Not that brushing it changed anything. It's tousled with a mess of black curls. Bev jokes that I look like a clown and once put clown makeup on me. I don't know why, but something about the makeup made me shudder.

I jump on the steps downstairs like a 5 year old and get cereal. Of course I put the cereal in first. Not the milk. Like weirdos do.

I finish it and go brush my teeth. Pretty average morning, right?

By the time I'm done all of this, it's 20 minutes to 8 so I walk outside. I got to Bev and I's ( is that how you would say it? ) usual meeting spot and wait for her.

In the distance, I see her walking toward me and I walk up to her. A large grin appears on my face and I wave. She grins and waves back.

"Hey Rich! Feels like we haven't seen eachother in forever." She winks and grins.
I wrap my arm around her shoulders and begin walking down the street with her.
"That's because it has been." I roll my eyes and groan.

"Gimme a cigarette." I take my arm away from her shoulder and she rolls her eyes. She hands me one and lights it.
"We should probably stop smoking y'know?" She says.
I nod my head but the nicotine is too addicting, I don't think I can.

I puff out smoke and I feel relaxed. She takes one out and lights it for herself. I laugh at the irony and so does she. She elbows my side playfully and I grin. I see the school up ahead and I feel like I want to puke at the sight of the worn out brick building. I hate this place so much.

She groans and we drop our cigarettes on the road. We then stomp them out and walk through the gates of hell.

We walk over and get our timetables from older students.

"Quick! I wanna see your subjects." She takes my timetable from me and I laugh. I look over her shoulder at both of them. We have most of the same classes together apart from English and maths. Maths is my least favourite and I could only get through it last year because of Bev. Now I'm gonna fail. Hard.

I sigh sadly and so does she. I turn and look around. I see many familiar faces apart from some. I see some random people who must be new. There's around 3 new people. My eyes scan the crowd and land on the 4th new person.

He had brown eyes and blonde curly hair. He wore a blue striped shirt and brown jeans. He wore white high top converse. [ the way I'm describing his outfit makes it sound hideous but I swear it's amazing just like him. ]

He's..gorgeous.
I know I like guys. I had a crush on Eddie Kaspbrak a few years ago. Then, he moved town and went to a different school before I got a chance to tell him.

I think now I have a crush on this mysterious guy. I want to introduce myself but.. I'm too scared. Bev taps me on the shoulder and rests her head on it.

"Who ya looking at?" She says right into my ear.

By her voice, I can tell she's smiling. She probably knows I have a crush. She knows me too well. She also knows I'm gay and is the only person who knows that. If I told my parents, I would be kicked out immediately.

I point subtly to mystery guy and she lifts her head up.

Then, she flounces over to him before I can stop her and I try to follow her.

"Hey!" She says to him, enthusiastically. Oh no.

He looks at her and he looks really nervous.

"Uh.. hey! I-I'm Stanley. Stanley Uris. Or just Stan." She nods and holds out her hand. "Beverly Marsh. Or just Bev." He shakes her hand. I hold mine out.
"Uh.. Richie Tozier." I smile and he also shakes my hand. I blush when he takes my hand and mentally scream with happiness.

"Nice to meet you both! Do you know where the lockers are by any chance?" He asks.
"I can show you!" I blurt out.
"Yeah, Rich can show you. I have to go to the.. bathroom." She winks at me and walks away. I glare at her and she smiles. I can't help but smiling back.

"What's the number of your locker? Might be close to mine." He searches through his sheets and then comes across the locker one.
"69." I burst out laughing and he blushes bright red.
"Shut up." He says. I grin.
"Follow me."

I bring him to the lockers and go over to 69.
"Here it is. Mine is 54 so we aren't that far from eachother." I point in the direction of mine and he nods.

"Thanks, Richie."
"No problemo, Staniel!" He rolls his eyes at this nickname and I smile.
"Wanna sit with me and Beaverly at lunch today?"
"Uh.. yeah! Sure." He replies happily.

"Show me your timetable, I wanna see what classes we have together if there is any we have together." He nods and hands me a sheet.

"I'm gonna try open my locker whilst you check that."

"Okie dokie." I look down and notice him and I have maths and English together. The two subjects Bev and I don't have together.

"Looks like you and I have maths and English together, Stan the Man." He groans.
"Eww I have to endure you for longer than an hour at lunch."

I glare at him and stick the middle finger up. He grins and begins putting his many books in his locker.

"If you do that again, I'm gonna snap your finger off." He says.

"I'm gonna learn your code and turn your lock backwards so watch out." I narrow my eyes into slits.

He rolls his eyes and smiles slightly. Maybe he's happy he has 2 new friends.
