Lloyd groggily sat up. He felt damp from the morning dew. His whole body hurt. He didn't remember anything or why he was out here.
A leaf blew past him and tumbled away. It was chilly out and there was a breeze. It was not by any means sleep in the alley weather.
He felt around his back pockets and realized; he still had his phone. Miraculously. He pulled it out and it read the time. 8:05.
He still had time to figure out where he was and get back to the dorm and bring his things in. His roommate was probably confused on where in the world he was. But as far as he knew, he could have already ran into them at the party last night.
He stood up and stretched out his legs and his back until he heard it crack. He was tight. He'd do about anything for a massage about now.
He looked around a little and then walked forward until he was out of the alley. He was by a main road it looked like but it wasn't very busy for it being the city. It must be a main not main road.
Third street something rather. He had to go to fifth. He didn't really remember the actual names. Just the numbers. He tried to pull up GPS on his phone but of course it was at five percent and died before he saw it hit one.
So now he had to walk a whole bunch. He had to exercise. As he was freezing cold. On an empty stomach. In pain. This was already a fabulous morning. He got over himself and continued walking. Either he'd hit two or four, then he'd know which way was the right way.
As he was walking, a red sports car pulled up slowly next to him. He looked over in question.
"Where you headed?" The guy inside asked. He had fiery brown eyes and spiked up brown hair. Someone clearly had a lot of gel on hand. He looked very muscular under his light sweatshirt. He had sun glasses resting on top of his head.
"Um...I have to get to my dorm but I'm kind of lost." Lloyd responded.
"What are you doing out here? You look like you're wet. It isn't far from here. Want a lift?" He asked.
"Uh..." Lloyd hesitated. City stranger. "It isn't too much trouble? Or out of your way?"
"Lucky for you it just so happens I'm headed to the exact same place. I just left to get some...accessories." He winked. "Hop in."
Lloyd went around to the passenger side and opened the door. It opened with ease. He hopped in and shut the door. Instantly he saw the bag of flaming hot cheetos.
He buckled up as the car pulled away from the curb and drove off.
"I'm Kai by the way." Kai stated.
"I'm Lloyd."
"Well nice to meet you Lloyd."
"You got a girl?" Kai asked.
"Uh...No. Do you?"
"Yup. Her name is Skylar. She dorms with me."
"Oh, cool. I have yet to meet my roommate." Lloyd scratched his head.
Kai turned into the parking lot just as Lloyd said that.
"Well you are about to."
He parked and shut off his car. He reached behind him and grabbed the couple of bags, and then they both got out and went inside.
"What's your number?" Kai asked.
"Umm...26."
"Ha. I'm 24. What a coincidence." With that Kai helped Lloyd find his dorm room. Only when he was at the door did he remember he still had his things in his car.
"Well I'll see you around." Kai waved and walked a little more down the hall to his room. Then Lloyd stuck his key into the lock.
He opened the door and as soon as he stepped inside, he froze. Right there, standing in front of him was Morro.
"You've got to be kidding me!" He cried.
