chapter five.

ROSIE AND SHAWN WERE GOING TO Chicago for New Years. It was a little tricky deciding where they were going to spend the holiday, but ultimately they chose to go to Chicago since her family couldn't visit her after the accident.

Rosie was nervous for Shawn to meet her family. Sure he had met her brother and dad, but this was going to be her whole family. Shawn would be meeting all her uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents — everyone.

"Why are you freaking out so much?" Shawn asked as he drove to her fathers house.

"I don't want to freak you out."

"What are you talking about?"

"Well you know I have a big family. Like really big family. And well, they're not exactly the happiest with you right now," Rosie answered.

Shawn sighed, "I know. But it's my fault. I have to figure out a way to win them back myself. You shouldn't stress about it."

"Of course I'm going to stress about it. You're my boyfriend. I want them to like you. And you're not going to do it alone. We're in this together you know," Rosie told.

"I love you," Shawn said, looking over with adoring eyes.

"I love you too," Rosie said, leaning over a place a gentle kiss on his lips. "Now keep your eyes on the road."

"Yes ma'am."
