They sat there, his arms wrapped around her tightly. He wasn't going to let go of her. He didn't know her, but he felt the need to keep her close; never let her go.

She looked up at him, her eyes red and glassy. She had been crying for quite sometime now. She'd never cried in front of anybody before, why'd she feel safe to cry in front of him. Why did she feel like she could spill her heart and soul into his lap and feel like he'd keep it safe for her.

"Are you okay?" He asked, moving the hair from her face. A small smile spread across his face as he saw her emerald green eyes shine like the stars above them. All she could do was nod. "Good, lets get you inside, it's cold out." He said as he picked her up bridal style.

"Ah!" She jumped a bit, she wasn't ready for him to hold her and walk. She blushed and squirmed closer into him arms. She didn't like being off the ground much.

Natalie (P.O.V.)

I gripped his shirt as I looked up at him. I hate it when people hold me off the ground, I feel like they're gonna drop me.

"So um," I paused, trying to process the words flowing through my head, "where do you live?"

"Oh, I live in a cabin not far from this cliff." He smiled.

"A cabin? Like a log cabin?"

"Yep, I bought it when I was 13" He said as proudly as he could.

He walked up to a two story log cabin. Smoke making small clouds from the chiminey; the smell of oak filling the area; the sounds of two dogs barking come from the small wooden cabin. It was nice and better than any place I've ever seen.

"When you were 13?" I questioned.

"Yeah, both my parents died when I was seven and my grandparets got rid of me, I was a 'bad' kid." He put emphasis on the word bad.

He opened the door and was greeted by a huge mastif and a dalmation. They both wore red collars with a golden tag with their names and other important information. He sat me down on the old garnet couch. He smiled down at me as he introduced his boys.

"Lee, this is Pongo!" The dalmation jumped onto the couch and rested his head on my lap, wagging his spotted tail lightly. "And this big boy right here is Gambet." The mastif sat infront of me, wagging his large tail against Ross' leg.

"Pongo and Gambet?" I looked up into Ross' big blue eyes. "Why those names if ya don't mind me asking."

"I named Pongo off of a movie I watched as a kid. 101 Dalmtions was one of my favorite movies and Gambet here ate all my playing cards so I named him after an X-men." He blushed slightly. "I'm a nerd, sorry." He appologized.

He's so cute. I wonder why he came to save me? How did he even know where I was and when I was coming? Can he see into the future or is he; I stopped my thoughts as I looked him. He sat down in a chair across from the couch, Gambet took it upon himself to use him as a seat. Ross laughed as the large dog crawled into his lap.

"Gambet? Do you still think you're still a puppy?" Gambet looked up at him and licked half his face. Ross just nodded and laughed. "Yeah yeah, you're still a puppy."

I smiled at the boy and his dog while Pongo rubbbed his nose against my hand, his big brown eyes looking up into mine. I couldn't tell him no with a face like that, so I pet him. He was soft like a blanket made of velvet. "Whoa." I mumbled under my breath. I've never pet a dog so soft before, Ross must really care for his dogs.

I got lost petting Pongo that I didn't even hear Ross ask me a qustion. "Na-natalie?" I looked up to see Ross smiling down at me and the happy spotted doggy.

His cheeks were a light shade of pink and his blue shirt really pulled out the colors in his eyes; they were blue and green, a small yellow ring wrapped around the pupal of his eyes. I could get lost in them and never find my way back.

"I was wondering if ya wanted some hot cocoa?" He asked, a hint of southern twang mixed with his deep voice. I nodded, blushing slightly, I like southern boys. "Marshmallows?"

"Yes please!" I jumped up and walked into the kitchen. "Do you have the big marshmallows?

"I do princess." He walked past me to a cubbard filled all kinds of food. He grabbed really big fluffy marshmallows.

A big smile spread from ear to ear as I jumped up and down. "YEE!!"

He smiled down at me as he put a marshmallow to my lips. "It's a new bag so you get the first one!" I smiled as he cocked his head to the side. Oh god he's so cute.

We both sat on the couch drinking our hot cocoa with the dogs by our feet. I leaned against him and he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close. His grip tight and strong, making me feel safe. This boy is my angel and I'm not gonna lose him.
