"Grandmother, is Y/N real?"

"Of course she is, when I was your age she took care of me. She was there to help me when I felt sad or angry. She will be there helping me when I went to the farm. Oh Jaehyun, she was the most beautiful woman ever, she has the most beautiful hair and her skin was white as snow and her cheeks were rosy pink. Her beautiful voice that projected whenever she sang me a lullaby and I was able to sleep. She never let anyone take advantage of me and she knew who was the right man for me. "How come you have a guardian while I don't?"

That made grandmother chuckles and kisses the forehead of her grandchild.

"Sometimes guardian takes cares of children who really needs help. I was weak when I was a child and couldn't do anything. But you and DK are the most independent little boys I have ever known. Promise me that you will never ever stop believing in them, yes maybe they aren't with you but you will never know about your future generations who might be under the care of Y/N,"

Suddenly a little boy popped out from the room and sat beside Jaehyun and it was Lee Seokmin or DK, Jaehyun's cousin and almost like brothers. Both of them were close and Jaehyun would always protect DK no matter what.

"Grandmother, could you tell use the story of the king's son and how Y/N protected him,"

Although it was passed their bedtime the old woman smiles and nods. The two little boys became excited and listen to her closely.

"Once there was a prince who wanted to see the world outside the palace walls but was forbidden by his family, he wanted to see the beauty of the nature and to meet his people. But what he did not know what was truly behind those walls. The cries of woman and children the screams made by the the men abused and tortured, leaving starved people outside those walls. By the time he turned 20 he went to do something. Something that was forbidden before he could take over the throne and it was to leave the compound of his cage that he was kept for those years. He wore the clothes of one of his servants which was his closest friend which was a secret kept from the royal family. He managed to escape and he was distraught seeing the sight of homeless, starving and abused people. He went further down and spotted a river and was amazed to see a beautiful silhouette by the rocks and was singing. Her voice was like a spell which made the prince fall in love with her. Beside the woman was a basket full of fish," 

"Basket full of fish? he asked the woman before she turned around and that made the prince's mouth wide open. He knew that this is the woman for him and the woman smiles before answering. The people in your kingdom is suffering without food and I made a decision to sacrifice myself to hunt food for them even if I have to climb the tallest mountains, she replied in her most angelic voice and made the prince feel guilty for what his kingdom has became and was angry with his parents which made it this way. Tell me about yourself, he asked as he sat beside her. I am Kang Y/N, a 18 year old lady who spent her life hunting and protecting the children here what about you? You have been spending your life in the palace and no one over here knows about our future king, that made the prince laugh as he plays with some of the pebbles and throws it into the river. "Why are you two still up at this hour?! Ma! Could you to stop making sleep late with your stupid tale?!"

That made the two little kids sad upon seeing Jaehyun's father screaming at their grandmother who was just smiling at her two precious angels before signalling them to go to bed. The two slowly went to bed and looks at each other.

"I pity grandmother who always getting scolded by your dad and besides it is only 9 p.m. and it's the school holidays,"

"I know. I wish Y/N can help us. Grandmother said that she can help us when we are weak but why isn't she here?"

"Who says she isn't here Jaehyun?"

The old lady enters the boy's room and was followed by a tall woman who was wearing something from the old days. Her hair was tied up and her hair was long and silky. Her outfit was made from the most expensive silk and was wearing a mask.

"So this are your two grandchildren?"

The mysterious woman sat at the chair which was closer to Jaehyun's bed and smiles before removing her mask and the two cousins were amazed seeing her. Kang Y/N the protector of children and the one who runs in the night's presence. 

"Yes they are,"

DK was a little scared and hide behind his grandmother but Jaehyun kept eye contact with the beautiful guardian and was instantly hooked to her. Y/N smiles as the little DK and ask him to sit next to Jaehyun.

"I want the both of you to promise to your grandmother that you will never call her tales and stories stupid and ridiculous,"

With that Y/N was gone and was no one knew where the guardian could have gone during the cold night. The boy's grandmother chuckles before speaking.

"Promise me that you will never stop believing in them and promise me to continue on her  story. Tell your generations that Kang Y/N the protector of children and the one who runs in the night's presence is always  watching us. Well it's time to sleep my precious grandsons,"

The two promise and quickly went to bed so that their grandmother won't get scolded again. The old lady exited the room with a huge smile on her face. 

"Y/N, I have found your prince, the prince that you should have been with those years ago. The prince that you fell in love with. I am happy that he became my grandchild, don't worry Y/N you two will be together. You will finally be with your prince........Prince Jung Yoon Oh,"
