Chapter 16

Little did the two people who were talking at the empty hallway, there was a third person who was listening to their conversation. But that person didn't stay too long since they probably get the idea that something was up. "Seungyoun, it's my turn to find out the truth," the person mumbled under their breath as they walk off, completely out of the scene.

It has been 5 days since the incident in Wang Yibo's house and Xiao Zhan still didn't manage to confess. The guilt was plaguing him and prevent him from having a good sleep. Eventually being awake the whole night or having sleep for less than 3 hours.

He was still talking to his boyfriend like usual but there were a bit of difference this time, since Emily just transfered a few days ago, she would never leave Yibo's side and sticked to him like glue. There were only rare times that she wasn't with Yibo and that's when she has class or club activities.

Xiao Zhan, eating lunch with Yibo turned out to be quite a disaster and it added to his stress even more. It's either Xiao Zhan eats with his friends and sits on their table OR he eats with Wang Yibo with his friends, in addition, Emily is now present.

The table they were occupying weren't that spacious anymore and Xiao Zhan would eat facing Yibo who has Emily now beside him. Seungyoun was at Xiao Zhan's right who had a very sour atmosphere around him. It was so obvious that Seungyoun didn't like Emily one bit. Sometimes, when Seungyoun can't take it anymore, he'll walk out from the table.

Why was Wang Yibo not pushing Emily away? No one really knows. Xiao Zhan doesn't have the right to ask either. But he usually just treats her the cold shoulder, only giving her short replies or he wouldn't say anything at all. But Emily didn't feel awkward without a reply, instead, she'll talk even more.

This time, Seungyoun once again leaves the table with his tray and transfers at another vacant one. Xiao Zhan remembers how Li Qin warned him to avoid Emily but how can he do that when Wang Yibo invites him to eat with them?

"Ah, there goes our buddy go," Wenhan said with a bit of sympathy for Seungyoun. "How about we join him?" Sungjoo suggested. "Didn't he tell us last time that he wants to be alone?" Yixuan inserted and Wenhan paused for a bit.

"Dude, if you told your friend you want to be alone, did it literally mean like that?" Sungjoo explained. "Right, reverse psycology!" Wenhan gasped as he slapped Yixuan which had him groaning in pain.

"A'lright, geez, do you really have to slap me that hard?" Yixuan complained as he soothes his arm. Xiao Zhan couldn't help but snort. "Zhan, you can come with us?" Sungjoo asked but Xiao Zhan shakes his head, he gave Wang Yibo a side glance who was talking with Emily. Implying he can't really leave.

Sungjoo nods his head as he got what the other was telling him. "Ah, Yibo, we'll go to Seungyoun," Wenhan said and Wang Yibo moves his mouth but no words came out. After doing that action, Wenhan couldn't help himself and broke out a smile. "Of course!"

But Xiao Zhan read Yibo lips and understood what he said, "Please comfort Seungyoun, I will explain things to him later." Xiao Zhan wasn't even surprised anymore on how a caring friend Wang Yibo can be. He may be cold at times but he sincerely cares for his friends.

"Aiya, Yibo, what did you say just now? You could've just voiced it out," Emily said in a pouty manner that had Xiao Zhan feeling uncomfortable. "It's not your concern," Wang Yibo replied rather coldly as he continued to eat his meal silently. Emily wasn't disheartened when Yibo said it like that, she instead changes the topic and started talking about a love story movie she watched.

Xiao Zhan basically knew he was in a tight spot and despite feeling awkward and a third wheel between the two people in front of him, he had to stay. Since he was pretty much aware of Wang Yibo's feelings for him and he'll probably get jealous of Seungyoun again.
