Do we like ourselves enough? Or do we like ourselves too much?
Being truly confident and without insecurities or self-doubt is something that many of us have to work on, because arrogance, defensiveness, the inability to listen, our anger and temper... they all come from a place deep within us that reflects a lack of confidence.
Human nature is such that we know we're not perfect, and it's normal to look to other people who are successful, confident and happy to inspire us.
And this is where it's important to examine if we truly like ourselves. If we don't like ourselves enough or like ourselves too much, then we'll constantly be comparing ourselves to other people, trying to measure up to them to feel good, or feeling good that we're better than them.
Comparison is not an aspiration to be better, neither is it a validation that we are better.
If we're comparing, it indicates that we need to work on being okay with being us. We need to work on believing that we are enough even as we acknowledge our flaws. We need to work on liking ourselves truly and thoroughly yet be honest with what we can improve on as a person.
Don't ever compare yourself to anyone, because there is no one out there who can be better than you or be worse than you, because they are DIFFERENT from you. I really believe that no human is more superior or inferior than another, no matter the circumstance or status. We can always aspire to like those who inspire us, without comparing ourselves. Be happy, always
