Paw Patrol: Castle of Sand

Chapter 11

"Yes! Ive been loving this so far. Bye Sapphire." Sweetie said as she left. A new boat rolled in a couple of hours later, I felt the waves, and it was scorcher and the gang.

"puplantis is beautiful no matter how many times i look at it" skye said looking through the water and seeing the lights, houses and a few merpups still out and about.

"It is isn't it." I said quietly.

"So this is where you'll stay?" rocky asked before a merpup came up with its collar, he tossed it to ryder since the pups were with ryder, it pointed to them and the tag before barking. Ryder played with the puptag in his hands as he thought about something.

"really? i think that'll be great!" i said, understanding what the merpup said when it barked.

"What did they ask?" chase asked before Ryder petted chase's head.

"The merpups would like a low tech puptag system. That way they can get in touch if they need to." He then remembered my new collar and got it out and tossed me my collar and tag. I put it on as I felt bare without it at this point. It was a six pointed star type instead of a badge design like the paw patrol's. it had a merpup tail sticking out of the water. the tail was purple and the ocean and sky were their natural colors. he then put a collar with the same design onto scorcher, who seemed nervous about having a collar but i assured him it was fine. His had a pirate skull on it but the background was red and black.

"One step at a time ryder, we like our old mysterious ways. But we are always open to new things as we believe change is inevitable." I said. The pups nodded at this. It was at this point I could tell some merpups was singing. It was a song i havent heard in a while so it made me feel nostalgic.

"sweetie will get her collar upgraded in a few weeks after i go over everything with the princess and earl." ryder said as the pups layed on the deck. Everyone just sat and listened, they found the song lovely. I felt tiredness set in as I noticed most merpups fall asleep, but it seemed some stayed awake. We may have different sleep schedules now due to past events.

"Guys this isn't the end, only the beginning of a new chapter." I said to bring their spirits up after seeing their sad faces. Before I could finish the paw patrol got called for a rescue. The pups quickly said their goodbyes and scorcher anchored the ship as robo dog eventually came in the air patroller to take them back to adventure bay.

I dived back into the water after wishing scorcher a good night and went back to my house and finished setting up my house in puplantis. it was a nice house with a reminiscence of my old home years ago.

A few months later a tunnel going around the waters of barkingberg open, with sweetie showing the people around and talking about merpups, educating the people on why we are endangered and how barkingberg can help us.

I felt gentle tapping on the glass that can only be made by paws as i passed near the tunnel, turning to the glass tunnel i saw saw sweetie and her group. They took pictures and videos of me as sweetie waved and I waved back before finishing what I was doing.

The people who went through the tunnel seemed to like our songs, old and new. Sometimes we performed in front of people on purpose to show them our songs and dancing. Sweetie told me that we're beginning to be popular on something called the internet.

Sweetie seemed to not want the crown anymore, now seemingly swiping it as a joke as she didn't make an effort to hide it. Later on, she told me that being able to be part of the ocean patrol was her "crown."

As for the paw patrol they got better gadgets to help protect and serve adventure bay better than never before. I still like to surprise visit them occasionally, they always liked that.

Me, Scorcher and Sweetie continue to find more artifacts and tressure as we do rescues and missions in the ocean. Scorcher found a magic collar and attempted to return it to us but we told him to keep it. We later found out it could turn the wearer into a merpup, which made it that when we go on searches much easier.

I, for one, could not be any happier. I got to be reunited with my kind, I am helping people while helping myself. This is what I wanted from the beginning.

"Guys head to the tower! Someone needs help!" I spoke into my collar as i swam to the base near puplantis. When i got there Scorcher and sweetie were there in their outfits.

"Ready to help Sapphire." Scorcher announced. I nodded and pushed a button on the panel for the screen to turn on, detailing our next assignment.
