TOM POV
Tom: "She's in a hurry?" I still approach Robert.
RDJ: "Oh, she volunteers coaching judo and dance at her old school and there's a show tonight."
Tom: "Judo makes sense... But dance?"
RDJ: "Yeah, she was dancer before... All of this."
Tom: "So she can dance too... Hey, if you don't mind me asking... Why does she call you dad?"
RDJ: "Oh, you noticed that?" he chuckles, "In a way, I sort of adopted her..."
Tom: "What!? But you have your own actual kids?"
RDJ: "Well, she was a foster kid... But when we discovered her, I took responsibility for her to get her out of foster care because she was only 16 then."
Tom: "Oh... So she doesn't have a family?"
RDJ: "Well... This is her family now," he looks around and smiles, "And she's always welcomed at my house."
Tom: "That's true... She definitely belongs here," I smile too, "But other than that... No one else?"
RDJ: "Are you trying to ask me if she has a boyfriend?"
Tom: "No..."
RDJ: "Well, if you were... No, no boyfriend. She spends most of her time training, on set, or volunteering."
I talk a little bit with Robert before finally heading back to my trailer with Haz.
Haz: "You got to talk to her! Sort of..."
Tom: "She's really good at what she does. I reviewed the footage and that slight change made a pretty big different... And in general, she's talented."
Haz: "She said you were cool and talented too. I heard her talking to Robert before she left."
Tom: "Really?"
Haz:"But she thinks you're quiet and shy," he laughs.
Tom: "Ugh... I know, all I said was 'oh' when she was talking to me... And thumb ups. So embarrassing."
Haz: "She seems super nice though!"
I was excited to see her tomorrow...
But it sucked... Because I didn't see her much for the next few days. She'd pop in, but I'd be all hooked up to my cables and she'd just watch over the cameras to make sure everything looked good, then leave.
One day, I even saw her talking to Haz.
HAZ POV
Haz: "Hey y/n, I'm going on a coffee run for everyone. Are you sure you don't want me to get you any?"
Y/n: "Um..." she's looking at the screens, watching Tom do his stunts, "You know what, I'll come with!"
She says that but doesn't turn around, still looking at the screen... Until Tom lands his stunt. She claps with everyone before she finally turns around to face me.
Y/n: "I need some fresh air anyway," she smiles at me.
Haz: "Oh... Um, okay," I'm internally freaking out.
We walk in silence for a little bit because I don't know what to say. The coffee shop isn't too far.
Y/n: "So Robert said that you're Tom's best friend?"
