Stepping out into the sunlight and onto the tarmac, Micah squinted her eyes to block out the sun. Removing the sunglasses from one of the shirt pockets of her uniform she placed them on the bridge of her nose, pushing them all the way up. Saying a farewell to some of her unit members, she walked to the front of the airport where a taxi waited.

"Can you take me to the 118 firehouse here in Los Angeles?" Micah had asked and gave him the address when he then agreed.

After a pretty short drive through Los Angeles, they were finally there. You see, she called her brother and sister the day before telling them she was would be shipped back stateside at the end of the month. Of course, that wasn't the truth. And even though Micah probably could've told Maddie, she didn't want to risk not seeing the looks on their faces when she surprised the two.

"Thanks, keep the change." She said handing the man a little extra the amount needed before getting out of the car. Slinging the bag over her shoulder she walked into the firehouse through a side door and into the lobby area where she was spotted by two men. One looked at her with a questioning expression as they walked up to the young woman.

"Can we help you?" One asked while looking at the name tag on her jacket. "Oh. There's more of you?" He exclaimed once it clicked.

"Yeah, but I can promise you, I am the last one. Quite literally."

"Does he know you're home?" The second one asked.

"Not yet, is he here or is he off? This was my first stop." She gave them a hopeful look and the two nod their heads.

"Might want to make it quick before the bell goes off though." The first one said. "Chimney, by the way." He says sticking his hand out to her. She accepted it and returned the gesture.

"Michelle."

"I'm Captain Nash, or Bobby, either or. Whatever makes you comfortable." The second one also stuck out a hand.

"Thanks, appreciate it." She said as they walked into a locker room where Bobby told her she could set her bags in there until she was ready to leave.

They walked up some stairs and she could see the back of Buck's head. Bobby made eye contact with everyone within eye range and raised a finger to his lips. They all went back to their conversations or whatever they were doing, acting like nothing was happening.

"Hey, Ev." Micah said causing her older brother to turn around.

"What are you doing here?" He said as he ran over picking her off the floor, hugging her. "I thought you said you were coming home at the end of the month?" He questioned when he set her back onto her feet.

"Yeah, about that." She said making him laugh.

"Well, now that you're here, come meet the team." He says turning on a heel before turning back around to look at her. "Have you gone to see Maddie yet?"

"No, so keep that trap of yours shut, alright." Micah said sternly making everyone else laugh.

He made a zipping motion over his mouth and she gave him a look. Buck only threw his hands up in defense turning back to his team. Walking over to a woman first he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "This is Hen," they shook hands. "That's Eddie," he gave her a small smile which she returned. "And you've met Bobby and Chimney." Buck finished just as the bell rang through the speakers of the firehouse.

"He can stay if you want him to. We have other crew members who could fill in for him. He could have the rest of the day off." Bobby told her as he ran down the stairs to the main level, only to cause Micah to shake her head 'no'.
