I was in Mrs. Wilson's' sixth period English class, listening to the small, old lady drone on and on. I put my head on my crossed arms in attempt to catch up on sleep. I had almost dozed off, when I felt something jab at my head. Whatever caused my awakening had landed on my desk, and was touching my finger. I lifted my head up groggily. I blinked a few times as the classroom came into view. I looked down at my desk. There it lay. A crisp, white paper plane. Anger arose as I glanced behind me to see a cute boy staring back at me, with a goofy smile plastered on his face. The anger left my face and a smile appeared in its place.
I looked back down at the wrinkled paper plane. There were doodles and scribbles. Although, one peculiar thing caught my eye. Opening the two folded wings of the plane, highlighted in blue, where two letters that made my stomach flutter with butterflies. This cutie said hi. To me. I smiled to myself and wrote hey under his message, followed by a smiley face. I turned my body in my seat, handing the plane back to him.
When the plane was returned, my heart stopped. The cute boy jotted 555-379-6587, and his name, Grayson. That's hot. I thought to myself. I blushed and looked back. He winked. I silently screamed. I shot a glance at the clock, noting that we had two minutes until the bell rang. I threw the paper into my bag and gathered my binders.
When the bell rang, I got up and scurried out of the room. Once out of the door, the boy grabbed my arm.
Dang. What was his name again? I thought to myself.
Once my arm was in his grasp, he pushed me into the lockers. It took my breath away. I gasp as he leaned his face close to mine as I stared into his crystal blue eyes. His blonde hair hung in his face and man did he look good in that beanie. My hair fell in my face and he slowly moved the blonde strands with his thumb.
"Hi." He said as he touched my chin, pulling my face closer.
"H-hi." I stuttered.
"We wouldn't want those beautiful eyes hidden. Would we?" He asked me. I shook my head slowly in shock as the halls started to clear.
"W-we need to get to class." I managed.
"I supposed you are right." He said pulling his face away from mine as I breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Wait. Who are you?" I asked him as he started to walk away.
"Well Adalyn, I know you but you don't know me. I'm that boy that's in the back of the class, that goes outside alone for lunch. While you and your snobby little friends eat with the cheerleaders. My name, although is rather unimportant, my name, is Grayson. And I do believe you'll be calling me tonight. Yeah?" He preeched, turning on the heels of his Vans, facing me, as he started to walk away again.
"Well, Grayson." I said, smiling like a fool. "My friends are not snobs, but I'd be happy to call you tonight." He turned once more, facing me and smiled. A little side smile.
When he finally walked away, I rushed to my locker and grabbed my health folder.
Wow. He came off as a goofy flirt in class. Then in person, he sounded a little preppy, but really his attitude just came off as he just really knows what he is talking about.
I made it to seventh period health, with two seconds to spare. I sat down beside my best friend Blaire, smiling the whole time.
