Asleep, she lay in her bed
Laying there almost dead
Couldn't sleep so she took a pill
But she took enough to kill
They didnt take her seriously
From the pain, she had to flee
Cold, scared, and hesitant
Her heart cruelly resistant
Down, down those pills went
And drowsiness was sent
Cold and alone, she lay in her room
Her life ending much too soon
She left some letters for people so dear
She has no more pain or fear
Some may call it selfish
A life she didn't cherish
Some would call it sinful
An act so vain and vial
It was her last light when she had none
Now she's finally at peace
Her pain is done.
