I hear Bucky's question and look where he's looking. The guy in red and blue spandex is literally crawling on the glass ceiling like a spider. And I'm an arachnophobic. Shit, we already had to fight a cat guy and now we get the spider dude ?
"Everyone's got a gimmick now."
The guy swings on a web and breaks through the window, hitting Sam on his way. Bucky and I stop immediately and when the guy stops Bucky's arm as he tries to punch him, I let out a surprised gasp.
"You have a metal arm ?" He asks. "That is awesome, dude !"
His moment of distraction allows me to punch him in the ribs, sending him Sam's way. Sam immediately punches him as I think about what I just heard. Shit, are we fighting a kid ? He sounded like a kid. Oh my god. I just punched a kid. Bucky and I start running again as Sam flies away with the kid in his arms. He's trying to escape but Sam seems to have the upper hand for now. When he finally escapes, Sam tries to follow him but the kid blocks his wings with his stupid webs, causing Sam to fall right to the ground. He doesn't even have the time to get up that spider dude already stuck him to a metal bar. Bucky and I come to his rescue but the kid effing throws himself at us and as we fall to the lower level, he keeps swinging from the ceiling. We find ourselves lying on the ground and when we try to get up, he glues us to the ground with more web.
"Guys, look, I'd love to keep this up but I've only got one job here today and I gotta impress Mr Stark so...I'm really sorry."
He stretches his arm toward us, ready to throw something else at us but Sam manages to send one of his drones at him. Spider dude's web gets stuck to it and it carries him out of the airport. Thank God.
"You couldn't have done that earlier ?" Bucky asks in an annoyed voice.
"I hate you."
"I swear you guys are kids," I sigh.
Thankfully, the web worn off really fast and we managed to get rid of it. We run on the improvised battlefield and meet the rest of our team.
"Come on !" Steve yells. We follow him to the exit. We're so close... Some red-skinned flying robot stops us. Why is Stark's team so weird ?
"Captain Rogers ! I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good, you must surrender now."
The collective good. Who is this guy talking like Shakespeare or whatever ? We're face to face with Tony Stark's team now and none of us knows exactly what to do.
"What do we do now, Cap ?"
"We fight."
Ah shit, here we go again. I'm really tired of this fight. Can't Bucky and I just run away and grow wheat in a farm in the middle of nowhere ? That'd be great. I'm interrupted in my own thoughts by Natasha. She throws her fist at me and I stop it so easily I can only smile.
