y/n's P.O.V:
its the morning of November 1st 1993, and i find myself, crutches and all sitting at a table in the ministry of magic signing a contract to change my name.
since being adopted, i had to choose whether to change my name or not. this became a nightmare as sev intervened and say that he was my godfather and that Sirius had no right to adopt me without his permission.
anyway back to now, I'm sitting down, pen in hand trying to figure out what to write, potter, black, lupin or snape. I cant write all four obviously then i'd end up with a mountain of a name.
"you don't have to change anything, you know that, right" said Remus calmly, sadly Sirius couldn't be there as the ministry hadn't pardoned him yet, they get one look at him and he's off to Azkaban quickly than fudge can say bowler hat.
"no,no i want to but i don't know how to make it fair so that everyone's name is used!" i said, hitting my pen off my head, trying to get my brain to think, then it came to me, i began to scribble down what i had come up with
"birth name:
y/n lily potter
changed name:
y/n lily rema severa potter black"
"y/n lily rema severa potter black, very long isn't it. It think it would be better if you put the severa before rema." said sev appearing from be hind the door.
"SEV!!!!" I exclaimed, but my mind trailed away else where, why wasn't he at school.
"why aren't you at Hogwarts, shouldn't you be yelling at harry or telling Neville he put so much ginger in his potion that it tastes like a Weasley" I joked, a big smile spreading across my face.
"yes, well I've left them instructions on how to make a potion to make you levitate for a few minutes, anyway im here to see you and to discuss some areas of importance with lupin, one of them being, who you live with. i suggest-" spoke snape in his same monotone voice he usually uses, as he was about to finsih though remus cut him off
"severus can i have quick word" interjected remus, nodding his head towards the hall outside.
After a while the returned,sev was looking notorious and Remus just okay,
"We have come to a conclusion, while you are at hogwarts, your legal guardian is Severus, and while at home not at hogwarts, like during holidays, Sirius and I are your parents"
