"HE'S WHAT?????" Tony screeched like the adult that he is.
"Well of course, Percy has more knowledge on different types of fighting than you do Stark," Fury says because he's levelheaded like that.
"And how do you know this Fury?" Steve asks, for once agreeing with the billionaire.
"Well just ask Barton or Romanoff, they've known him for longer than I have," Fury says while gesturing to Clint and Natasha.
"And how do they know him?" Tony asks, still confused.
"They volunteer at my summer camp sometimes," Percy butts in, but not saying more than that.
"What kinda summer camp allows assassins and spies to volunteer?" Tony asks, still confused.
"One for kids who are hunted" Percy mutters quietly, but everyone heard him.
"Um, Percy? What do you mean by that?" Steve asks the teen softly.
"I mean that there are kids who are being hunted every day of their lives and this camp is our save haven," Percy says, still muttering.
"Why did you use the first- OH, oh my god. Percy I am so sorry. Who would hunt a kid?" Steve asks realization dawning on his face "Clint and Nat help train you guys in how to survive, don't they?" Steve then asks. Percy just nods and says
"Look, I don't want your pity, I've been caring for myself basically since I was twelve," Percy explains to the looks of shock and pity on all of the adults except Clint, Nat, and Fury's faces.
"Yeah but who-" Tony starts before being cut off by Percy
"No one you need to worry about," Percy says by way of explanation. And that was that. After that, well, experience. the Avengers and Percy head to a living area and plop down on a couch.
"So Percy, tell us about yourself," Steve says warmly.
Again, sorry it's so short, but school is being annoying and our musical just opened so that's a whole new level of stress and nerves, especially since I'm a techie. Any who I have decided on a villain! Moros, the god of doom. I think it's fitting, seeing as doom seems to find Percy and the Avengers. See you next week! - Risht
