A quick note from me

Hello!

I wanted to use this note to say a massive thank you for being here. Whether you're checking out my stories for the first time or you're one of my loyal readers, I know there are thousands of wonderful stories to choose from and many other things you could be doing with your time, so I appreciate you using some of your precious hours to read, vote and comment on my stuff. And I really do mean it. I take my day job very seriously (perhaps too seriously given I ended up in hospital because of my work some years back) but since I've started writing more and sharing my stories, the first thing I do when my alarm goes off - apart from hit snooze a dozen times - is read and respond to overnight comments rather than overnight work emails. Which has got to be good for my health!

This story is pretty much on my usual theme. Set in the present day, about real life, with grown-up characters who get thrown into tough or crazy situations so I can see what they'll do. The characters will sometimes have questionable morals and motives and often make bad decisions while trying to get through life as unscathed as possible. This one gets a little filthy in places, so if that's not your thing, feel free to check out here. But there's a kinda cute (as far as I can go with cute, I make no promises!) love story buried in there, and a crime/mystery aspect too.

Some of the story will be told using flashbacks from a different perspective to the main characters. These flashbacks will be in a seemingly illogical order, so keep an eye on the time/location at the start of each chapter. All should become clear as you progress through the story, but if it really doesn't, call me out.

One final disclaimer - this still isn't my actual story that I keep banging on about in my author's notes. One day it'll come, and it'll be fucking awesome.
