Sitting outside the Mystic Grill, Hope closes her eyes, recalling the day she spent with her uncle Elijah almost three years earlier. She remembers Landon fumbling around her, and she smiles. She remembers the night of that same day, when they danced. She remembers the way it felt to sway in his arms.

"Hope," a woman's voice now the one pulling her back to reality. Hope looks up at the beautiful brunette and another smile, now wider with excitement, spreads across her face.

"Davina! Oh my god... What are you doing here?!" She jumps and immediately jumps into the arms of her aunt.

"Freya told us you were okay, but we had to see you for ourselves," she returns with a smile just as wide.

"He's here!?" Hope gasps and immediately searches her surroundings for Kol.

"Relax, Hope. He's at the school meeting with Dr.Saltzman."

"What? Why?"

"He has information about the Gemini Coven and something called the merge."

"Yeah, I know what it is, but do you think he knows a way around it?"

"Not exactly, but I'll let him explain. Over a late lunch," she holds Hope out in front of her, a hand on each arm, and sighs as she looks her over. "I missed you."

"I missed you too," Hope scrunches her nose and hugs Davina once more.

"Okay, so the last time we talked before you threw yourself into a tar pit," she pokes her in the chest and Hope laughs. "You mentioned a boy."

"Landon..."

"Oof, that's not good."

"What?"

"Well, based on your frown and the fact that you won't look me in the eyes," she moves her head lower to look up at Hope and meet her gaze. "I have a feeling your Uncle Kol isn't going to be too nice when he meets this Landon."

Hope cracks a small smile and Davina pulls her to a chair at the table they stood by.

"Okay. Tell me everything. Do we hate him? Is he cute? Did you love him? Do we hate him?" She rambles, lifting Hope's spirits about the subject. Happy to finally have someone to talk to about Landon, who wasn't actually connected to him in some way, she sighs a breath of relief at finally being able to talk to.

"We don't hate him, but he is a Phoenix, so if Kol wanted to snap his neck, I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing," she chuckles and continues. "As for cute... I'm pretty sure if I saw him again I would just become a puddle at his feet. And yeah. Like I told Dr.Saltzman, we were in love. I love him. Like really, in an epic way, loved him."

"That bad, huh?"

Hope pulls out her phone and searches for a moment before holding it out to show Davina a photo of him with his guitar in his lap.

"Wow. He's adorkable. Did you take this?"

"Yeah, months ago... Before... Everything."

"Well, he felt the same way about you, probably still does."

"He doesn't. He literally ran away just to get away from me. And, now I'm not so sure he ever did. Not the way I did."

"Look at the photo, Hope. He's not looking into the camera. He's looking at you. He's looking at you in a way I've only seen on rare occasions. It's the way your mom and Elijah looked at each other. Your father and that blonde he was always hung up on. Freya and Keelin. The way Kol looks at me," Davina smiles at the thought of her husband.
