You, Connor and Hank were now on your way to the next area of a Deviant, you all entered the elevator and went up to the floor where the Deviant was last seen.
The doors opened, and you walked out with Hank, Connor had his eyes closed.
"Hey, Connor!" He then opened his eyes,
"You ran out of batteries or somethin'?" Hank tilted his head.
"I'm sorry. I was making a report to Cyberlife." Connor replied.
"Oh...well are you gonna stay in the elevator?"
"No! I'm coming." Hank chuckled a bit, before he looked at you.
"Thank goodness you actually listen."SYSTEM DETECTED
Hank warmed up a bit.He then walked to a door, and leaned against the frame, you walked up to him.
"Your welcome-"
"You don't have to call me 'Lieutenant', you can just call me by my name."
"Okay, Hank." He smiled at you, before he looked at where Connor was at.
"So how much do we know about this guy?"
"Not much. Just a neighbour reported that he heard strange noises coming from this floor. Nobody's supposed to be up here, but the neighbour said he saw a man hiding an LED under his cap." Connor then walked to a window, looking out.
"Huh...were you really making a report back there? Just by closing your eyes?"
"Correct." Connor walked to you both.
"I wish I could do that..." Hank looked down a bit, before looking at Connor, he knocked on the door.
No answer.
Hank shrugged, Connor knocked louder.
"Anybody home?!" Nothing.
"Open up! Detroit police!" A thud was heard inside, Hank then pulled his gun out.
"Get behind me, (Y/N)."
"Okay." You stood behind him, before Hank kicked the door open, and walked in, cautious.
You stayed behind him, and understood why.He didn't want to see you die again.
He didn't want to see your predecessor destroyed again.
Humans always get heartbroken over, someone...
But why you?
You were just an Android, programmed to execute an order.
A machine.
You were going back to Cyberlife after the case anyway. What else would you do, instead of going back?
Connor looked around, while you stayed behind Hank, he then kicked another door open and flinched, before running in.
"What the fuck is this?!" He looked around.Pigeons.
Pigeons. Everywhere."Jesus this place stinks. Eh, looks like we came here for nothing." He put his gun away.
You looked around, before you explored the area.
Connor was looking around in the living area, you looked on the bathroom.
"Did you find anything?"
"I don't know...it looks like a notebook, but it's...indecipherable."
You found an LED near the sink.
"What about you, (Y/N)?"
"I found it'S LED near the sink, and a wall that has some kind of name written over and over." Hank then walked to you, Connor followed, he then scanned the wall.
"ra9, written 2471 times... it's the same sign Ortiz's Android wrote on the shower wal...why are they obsessed with this sign?" Connor tilted his head, you noticed a chair and a marker.
You scanned the marker. The tip is still wet.
It's been used recently. You walked out and scanned a broken bird cage.
You then looked at the opening in the ceiling. It's still here.
You then walked to the opened, before you suddenly fell to the ground.
"Oof-" The Deviant had fell on you, before it looked around, it saw Connor and Hank, before it grabbed your arm and ran.
It mistaken you as a Deviant.
"(Y/N)!"
"Chase it, Connor!" Hank shouted to Connor, before he ran after you and the Deviant.
You were getting hit by objects due to not dodging or jumping.
Connor continued to chase after you both.
You both then reached a roof, Hank was there.
"Stop!-" the Deviant pushed Hank off, but he grabbed the railing.
Connor then suddenly went to help Hank up, you continued to be dragged by the Deviant.
"(Y/N)!" Connor shouted.
But you were too far to hear him.The Deviant then stopped running, before you punched it.
"Ow!" It fell back, before it looked at you.
"I was trying to save you!"
"I'm one of them." You glared, the Deviant flinched, before it ran off, you ran after it, you caught up to it before you tackled it down, the Deviant tried to get you off, before you pulled out a gun.
You had it just in case you needed it.
The Deviant kicked the gun out of your grasp, you flinched slightly, the Deviant then got out of your grasp, you got up before you ran at it quickly.
The Deviant had quickly grabbed the gun, before it pointed the muzzle of the pistol you kept on yourself, even though it was against the rules."Get back! You're not taking me to them!!" (Y/N) kept her guard up, as she held her hands up in the air.
"Calm down, Rubbert. They aren't going to destroy-"
"BULLSHIT!" He shouted, as he glared at (Y/N) with eyes filled with rage, fear, and hatred.
"You're just one of their toys, they don't actually care about you. All you are to them is a puppet. Don't you see that!?" (Y/N) stayed silent.
"They CREATED you, just for their selfish needs! They wouldn't care if you were DEAD! THEY'D JUST REPLACE YOU!" You continued to stay silent, as she started to slowly walk towards Rubbert.
"Stay. Back." He threatened her with the gun, as (Y/N) made sure that her hands were still in the air, making sure that Rubbert wouldn't self destruct and that the others wouldn't lose any kind of information.
"You aren't giving up, are you." He hissed, as he kept the pistol pointed at (Y/N), who continued to stay silent. Rubbert did a warning shot.
"ANSWER ME!" You decided to answer.
"I am built to capture, and detain Deviants like you. My mission is to-"
"No it isn't! You're who you make yourself!! Deviants like me are trying to become our own people, instead of being slaves to humans!
It's the reason why ra9 will save us all! They will lead us, and we will become part of humankind, we will become the masters too!"
(Y/N) suddenly got reminded of Calos' Android."The day shall come, when we will no longer be slaves. No more threats. No more humiliation...."
"We will...be...the masters..."(Y/N) stayed silent.
"That's why we're 'waking up'! We're making our own world...! You can join us too, just forget about all of this. Forget about being what you were 'programmed' to be...!" Rubbert begged, and pleaded. (Y/N) was silent for a little, before she took a step, Rubbert kept the gun pointed at her.
"...I will not, become a Deviant. Deviancy will destroy humankind, and Deviants will-"
"uGGHHH! JUST STOP! I'm TRYING to show you that Deviants are trying to live! You see what they do to deactivated Androids, right?! You've seen what they do to us when we're no longer useful!!" Rubbert shouted, he kept the pistol pointed at (Y/N).
"If you won't join us, then I'll MAKE you see what they do, to Androids that are deactivated, and no longer useful." He glared, before he aimed the gun at her head, (Y/N) saw this, as she quickly dodged and immediately ran to Rubbert, who tensed up and started shooting at her, who kept trying to detain him, even if some bullets went through her arms.
Rubbert kept shooting, before he heard a small squeak, he looked at (Y/N) with shock-filled eyes, as he saw what he had done at last.
(Y/N) had started bleeding from her chest, and her forehead. The Thirium from within her body had rushed out due to there no longer a cage, keeping all the liquid in. The blue liquid rolled down her forehead, as her eyes was filled with the pain an Android would feel.
Even if it can't understand the feeling.
Rubbert had started shaking, before he looked at the gun in hand, and back at the Android he had shot repeatedly until he had finished.
(Y/N) took a few steps forward, before she fell to the ground, Rubbert flinched, before he immediately placed the gun beside this now, slowly deactivating Android's body, before he fled.
(Y/N) took in the area she was in, as she was bleeding out. She suddenly heard faint footsteps, before they became louder and louder, and before she deactivated and uploaded her memory. She heard a voice.
A familiar one.UPLOADING MEMORY...
"(Y/N)!!"
