The room you were in was consumed with darkness. It felt humid, and had a sickening stench. Your palms felt cold and clammy, and a sense of panic seemed to wash over you, although you didn't know why. There was a red glow, just very faint, and growing brighter by the second, barely illuminating the room. You strained your eyes to see, but when you were able to see, you wish you didn't try to look.
There were three demons on the floor, dead, mutilated. You stared in horror. Never did you think you'd see people in such terrible condition. You couldn't recognize them. Written on the wall, in blood, were the words: You'll rule Hell together.
Unable to control your body, you were turned around to see Lucifer, the king of Hell, also dead and mutilated on his throne. His once beautiful clothes were torn and stained with golden-red blood, and the sound of it dripping into a puddle made you feel sick.
You looked around, from the three bodies and back to Lucifer. You felt strange, like this was supposed to be important in some way. But, you tried to ignore it. It was probably just your mind making up some horrible scenario. You couldn't quite shake the feeling though. Who did this? What did this mean?
You were surprised when you heard a voice; it was more like a loud whisper, echoing through the dark room. "Afraid yet?" it asked.
Your panic made it so you could barely breathe out the word, "Help."
There was a laugh, but again, it seemed whispered. "No, I can't. I can only warn you."
"About what?" you asked shakily.
There was a slightly sadistic chuckle before the whisper answered.
"Him."
A/N: Well, that was short, but it's just a prologue, so don't hate me!! I know most of you guys have probably already figured out the basic plot of the story (the title gave it away...I'm just a dork), but please stay to see the rest of the story! I have lots of twists and turns planned along the way. <3
