Fashion is a hobby that I proudly share with my neighbor, who is a second mother to me. She is a breast cancer survivor, but she is also a fashion lover. While she was battling cancer, her love for fashion rubbed off on me, kickstarting my passion. She did not let cancer consume her; fashion was her outlet when she was sick, and she stood her ground to keep that self-expression hers, not cancer's.

To bring the Brown community together, I would establish a club to talk about fashion after award and fashion shows and put on a fashion show involving various activities and organizations on campus, as well as coordinating with local designers to showcase their work for this event. My dream is to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation through these fashion shows. I want to give back to others suffering because I have been so inspired by my neighbor's use of fashion in her fight against cancer.

My neighbor is also a social butterfly. Through this fashion club, I would connect with people of many interests, as well as local people and businesses to bring new discoveries and enthusiasms. I love the idea that I can create a club, raise money, and meet a new demographic through a university. I am enthusiastic about the possibilities of meeting people within the Brown community, just like my neighbor would. At Brown, opportunities are endless, and I am ecstatic for the freedom to explore these opportunities.
