On the eighth day of Christmas...

"I'm gonna head out you guys" Annie said getting up from the fireplace where they were still making s'mores. "Okay, we'll see you later Anns" Hayden commented.

Annie left the house, her uber already being outside since she called a while ago. She stared out the window the entire car ride. Thinking how things went so wrong.

All she wanted to do was help Asher. But he felt as if she was trying to fix him. Annie thought maybe she was being too pushy, or said something wrong. She didn't know much about the situation, except for that she wasn't going to bother Asher anymore. If he wants to be alone, then let him. No matter how bad she wants to see him.

It was night when Annie arrived home. She had got a call from her parents saying that they booked a motel for some 'alone time' which she immediately removed the thought from her head. So, Annie was home alone, for the entire night.

Its been an hour and all Annie has done was watch random stuff on Netflix. She thought was was being really lazy, but honestly it was just boring. Seeing as that she had nothing to entertain her.

She assumed...until there was a knock on her door. She slowly got up to answer it. Revealing Hayden on the other end. Without even being able to say hello, Hayden forced himself on her. Making their lip connect roughly.

Annie spat at him once she managed to push him off. "What is wrong with you?!" Annie screamed. "I want you back Annie. I made a horrible mistake, and seeing you today just reminded me of everything we had together"

"What we had? Together? Hayden, you manipulated me. You cheated on me, and you lied to my face about all of it. What we had, was an abomination" Hayden's face went soft. "Annie, I'm sorry. I really wish things were different"

"Yeah, me too" Annie put her head down. "But I can be Anns. You just have to do one simple thing" Annie looked up, knowing what he talking about. "No. No way"

"But why not. It would make us so happy"

"No, our daughters life would be miserable with us. I had no other choice but to give her up. No matter how much I loved her, I wasn't ready. And you sure as hell weren't" Hayden took Annie's hand. "Let me try Annie. Please. I'll be better"

"All I can see..is you manipulating me, all over again" Annie pulled her hand away from him. "Just like your trying to do now" Annie starts walking away, but Hayden follows and grabs her arm.

"I'm not, I promise. I just want to start over. This entire time we were apart I haven't thought about anyone but you. What happened between you and Johnny last summer made me realize I was wrong about everything"

"Well yeah, when you cheat on someone. Its not a good thing"

"Annie..listen. I love you. And I'm sorry, truly. For every bit of pain I made you live with." Annie stared deeply into his eyes. She knew he wasn't lying. And she hated it. She wanted to believe he was a bad person still. But how could she..when she's looking at the man that obviously wants to change.

Annie sighed heavily, then hugged Hayden. "Thank you.." Hayden said softly. They pulled out the hug. "For what?"

"Trusting me again" Annie smirked. "Don't get ahead of yourself. I never said that"

"Well then thanks for believing me" Annie smiled. "Anything for you Hayden. How it's always been" There's was truth to what Annie said..but there was also hurt hidden behind it too. But, that's a different story.
