Locked away

Zack's confession

While waiting for Hajime to return with Ray, Zack felt like something was off. Like something happened and he wasn't told about it, this made him uneasy.

When the door opened Zack grabbed his scythe ready to attack, but put it down when he saw it was Hajime.

"Where's Ray?" Zack had asked a bit angry when he saw that Ray wasn't with him.

"I'll only answer your questions if you answer mine first, so hand me your weapon that way I know you won't try to attack me while we talk." Hajime said calmly, Zack reluctantly handed Hajime his scythe. He wanted to know what happened to his Ray.

"Alright talk, also I want that back by the way." Hajime noticed the difference in Zacks voice. He sounded both angry and worried all in one, it was weird but none the less he was still the same.

"Alright, first off how old are you." Zack narrowed his eyes at Hajimes question. He hated being asked that, but none the less he knew he wouldn't get any answers from Hajime if he didn't answer.

"First of all why do you want to know and second of all why does it matter to you?" This time Hajime narrowed his eyes but answered in his own way.

"Just answer the question will you." Zack sighed while looking down.

"19" (since his age is unknown im just going to say he's 19.) Hajime was surprised he answered, but he was even more surprised that he was close to guessing his actual age.

"Now I'm even more curious as to how you wound up doing what you do, but now's not the time. Anyway second question, what is Rachel to you?" With that Zach tilted his head a bit obviously confused as to what he was asked.

"What do you mean?" Hajime sighed hearing that question he thought Zack knew what he ment but clearly he didn't.

"I mean, is she your friend, your lover, victim, things like that, what is she to you?" Zack understand what he ment now but didn't really know how to answer his question.

"I guess she's both my lover and victim, its hard to explain, it really is. I want her as one or the other and not both but as it stands shes still both no matter what I say or do she still has those dull eyes. Ever since she found out her parents were you know, she's had little to no emotions. I'm not going to lie since I hate liers, I love her but it hurts when she looks at me and asks me to kill her. Since day one I couldn't bring myself to kill her, ya I tried to but I wouldn't actually kill her I planned to toy with her since it was rather boring but when I started to get to know her I started feeling happy myself I was smiling more, laughing more, worried, you name it I felt it and I've never really felt those things before. But it all crashes when she reminds me that I promised to kill her, I only said that because she wouldn't stop asking me at first yes I did mean it but now. Now I can't bring myself to do so I don't want to hurt her, sure I say it but never truly mean it which pisses me off since I've been lieing to her." The whole time Zack was talking, Hajime didn't know what to do but sit there and listen. But a couple of things still left him with one or so more questions.

"If you love her so much why haven't you told her this, instead of lieing to her?" Zack shook his head.

"I told her I loved her, she said it back and I could tell she ment it by the look in her eyes but it didn't mach or out do the look she always gets when I say I'll kill her, it pisses me off." Hajime couldn't help but sigh, normally he doesnt do anything like this but he figured if it helps Zack from trying to kill everyone in his path he'd help.

"I mean, tell her you can't kill her because of the fact you love her. If you can find a way to get her mind off of wanting to die then maybe it'll help give her some actual emotions and won't look half dead as it is." Zack couldn't agree more but there was a problem.

"I do agree with you on that but the problem with that is I've already tried, she didn't forget or anything like I said, no matter what I say or do she still asks me to kill her." Hajime understood it now but one more thing was left on his mind, normally he doesnt think about things like this but with her being the age she is and him being a grown man he had to ask.

"Have you slept with her yet?" Once again Zack was confused and didn't know what he ment.

"A few times, why?" Hajime was surprised but at the same time thought something didn't add up.

"You do know what I mean by that, right?" Zack kinda nodded.

"You mean sleep next to her or watch over her, right?" Now it added up, Hajime noticed he understood something but not other or anything at all depending on how what you ask him.

"Let me rephrase this, have you bed her yet?" Zack sorta understood what he asked but had to make sure.

"you mean if I banged her? Or if I've just slept next to her?" Hajime was a little uneasy to try and explain but also wanted to make sure of something.

"When you say bang what do you mean?" Zack chuckles a bit which surprised Hajime yet again, he didn't even realize he could be so surprised and yet here he is.

"I thought I was dumb, when I said banged I ment had sex. Shouldnt you know that?" Now annoyed Hanjime tried to keep his cool.

"I know what it means, I was asking if you did so I knew whether or not I had to explain it to you and to know if we were on the same page with this topic. Now then, have you or not." Zack made an 'oh' motion then shook his head no.

"First of all why didn't you say that to begin with, and second of all no. Before you ask, yes I have thought about it but I don't really feel comfortable doing things like that with her since she is so young. Yes I'm dating her but I can't and won't go as far as having sex with her because I know it can ruin a girls view point and experience when it comes to something like that if it isn't good or if its painful." Hajime stayed quiet for a moment then asked.

"If you know all that, how do you not know what it means to sleep or bed someone?" Zack was now quiet for a moment then asked.

"If you're done with your questions can you answer mine?" Hajime sighed once again and began to speak.

"I transferred her to a different block temporarily, yes you will be able to see her and visit her whenever, no you can't take your scythe and until we know for a fact you won't do anything to or with her he has to stay there until I talk with the warden. Understand?" Zack nodded knowing she was safe but was uneasy knowing she wasnt with him. Thinking about what Hajime asked him he just had to ask.

"if I were to sleep with her, do you think that will be enough to make her see that I don't want to kill her, even if I say it there's no way to know for a fact if she will understand or not. Of course I'm going to wait till she's either of age to consent legally or till she's an adult herself. I just don't know how long it'll take before she realizes I don't want to kill her or want her to die." Hajime nodded understanding Zacks situation. Before Hajime was about to leave he said a quick 'who knows' to Zack then left him alone to think.
