I tell you this, before I tell the rest, that I am not a murderer. It was only a moment of passion that compelled me to do what you call a crime. It was my sister, who caused this undoing of life in her house.

See, I will show you. Come with me up into the house where it all took place.

These are the steps I oh so quietly tiptoed up that late night. I remember the moon was darkened by clouds and no one would see me. My sister, foolish this night but quite fortunate for me, had forgotten to leave the porch light on. Now you see that I did the deed without a single eye laying on me.

This is the door that I opened. Yes, it was locked but my sister trusted me with a key. She made it all the easier. Is it obvious now that I am not a murderer?

See the lovely front room that hides the true heart of dear sister. And here is the grand staircase of which I climbed to the master bedroom. If we step up here you might see- I am sorry I stumbled on my words. My eyes have played a trick on me. Or... Did you also see the hand? It couldn't have. Never mind it and finish the tour of my deed.

Have you realized yet that I am not a murderer?

Let me open the door for you and you'll see the room where I choked out the life of my sister. Why you ask would I do this to my own blood? Have you not yet realized? Just a moment more and you'll know why.

And why do you make the dreadful banging? Do you not see how rude- It was not you, you say? Then who could have done it? Oh, it doesn't matter. Come and see the drapery ribbons that helped me crush her windpipe. Would you stop that awful noise!

You hear it too? Thank God, I thought I was crazy. But I am not a murderer.

Why did you touch me? Your hands are cold as death. You say it was not you then who... You see her?! There! On the balcony! Look past the sheer curtains and glass door and you'll see my sister! How has she gotten back here? Come back, my sister! See, she is climbing down the balcony!

Come with me, kind friend. I will drag you there with me! My dear sister, how have you come back? Did you come back to hurt me again? Well, you can never hurt me as you did the day you killed my son.

Why do you beckon me to the balcony? Come along then, and we'll see.

She has me! God, save me!

Hello, my friend, you are so far up now. Is this blood? Yes, yes, it is. See, I am not a murderer. I only seek justice and- oh sister, why are you behind my friend?
