CHAPTER-5
Next morning I woke up feeling tired and exhausted.
My throat was hurting and I was having a massive headache.
I lay in bed , waiting for either mom or Nick to come and soon fell asleep.
I woke up to see the sun shining in my eyes and groggily rubbed my eyes and looked at my clock .
Wow I slept for 6 hours straight! I thought .
I went to the bathroom brushed my teeth, washed my face ,put on my white and black robe over my pyjamas and went downstairs.
My stomach was grumbling because I hadn't eaten anything since the previous night.
Nobody was home , mom had left me a note on the refrigerator which said
" Baby , I had to go cause of an urgent meeting , I'm sorry. I called the school and I have left some medicines on the the shelf. Rest , and if you have any problem call me.
I'll try to come back asap. Take Care.

Mom"
I got up from the stool, made myself a ham and cheese sandwich and poured myself some orange juice.
I took my plate and glass of juice and went to sit outside on the picnic table in the garden.
I sat there listening to the quiet sound of the water bubbling .
The garden was like a soothing oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the ordinary life.
You could sit here ,unwind yourself and forget all the tensions of life.
The fountain in the middle of the garden attracted birds and butterflies which made the it even more colourful.
There were roses , sunflowers ,dahlia's, pansies ,orchards, lilies, tulips ,cherry -blossoms , freesia ,paradisea and many more.
The garden was a treat for the senses .
The nose , - it was fragrant ; the ears- soft falling sound of the water ; the eyes - the beauty of the garden was just amazing!
I sat there looking around and ate my breakfast .
I felt better but I was still tired .
I quickly finished eating and got up and went to the kitchen to put the dishes in the dishwasher.
I was still feeling sleepy , so I went to the guest room and got the comforter and an extra pillow kept in the cupboard and went out into the garden again.
I put the pillow on a cushioned bench and curled up , covering myself tightly with the comforter.
I lay there staring at a blue bird sitting on the edge of the fountain and singing.
The beautiful singing of the bird , soon lulled me to sleep.
I woke up , and couldn't see anything as it was really dark cause the lawn lights weren't on.
I sat up and looked around wondering what had woken me up.
And then I heard it, a quiet shuffling sound from inside the house.
Oh my god! Somebody's in there . They are going to steal everything or maybe they are here to murder me and dump in some alley. They must have somehow come to know that I am all alone. What am I going to do?? I thought.
Rhea , chill the whole house is dark , they probably saw the lights off and decided to come rob it. Nobody knows you are in here all alone. How would they? Chill! Maybe I can go and take them by surprise and hit them . I tried to tell myself.
