The unfollowing and unfriending don't go unnoticed. A few days later and it's still trending on every social media profile I have. I've received plenty of hateful comments - enough people have been calling me a horrible person, a terrible friend, and others are saying that, I too, have turned to the dark side. I've read responses from fans who were threatening to stop watching the show because of what I've done.

The best part? They don't even know why I deleted them. Sure a few people asked the general public what happened, but no one cared or offered for me to share my side of the story. At this point, it probably wouldn't even matter.

To be honest, I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Social media has become such a vital part of our generation and the impact it has on other's perspective of you is ridiculous. Just because I unfollow someone on twitter doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Come on, people. Don't you have more important things to worry about?

Anyway, the attention was starting to get annoying. My phone was blowing up with messages from the group text with the football players and Whitney's crew all supporting my decision of blocking Darcy and Jagger. Of course they were ecstatic since this meant they were officially in replacing their spots. I didn't even reply.

Caleb sent me texts of concern, which truthfully, were the only ones I even bothered responding too.

Caleb: Hey Love. Jagger told me about the huge fight you got into. Are you okay?

Me: Hey Caleb. I'm fine. Thanks for checking in.

Caleb: Remember, if you need anything, I'm here. Do you want to go for a walk or scream it

out?

Me: Haha, no. Thanks for the offer. I'd rather be alone for now.

Caleb: Gotcha. Keep your head up! Things will be okay. Whenever you need to talk, I'm here.

Other than that, I had silenced my phone to avoid being distracted from focusing on homework and studying for upcoming exams. I decided to drown the rest of my week in my textbooks and I found it surprisingly soothing. Since I was alone at home, there was enough calmness for me to sit with classical music echoing through the halls which allowed me to zone in on work.

When I took study breaks, I couldn't even think straight. My mind was in an abyss of emotions to the point that I found myself feeling completely numb to everything. I deleted all the social media apps on my phone because I wanted to keep from having a complete breakdown. Before I had taken the social media cleanse, I read that Darcy and Jagger had already said their peace, subtly addressing the public stating on their Twitters:

"@DarlingDarcy: Real friendship is stronger than social media."

"@JaggerBrokenRoses: Chill peeps - don't believe everything you see/read."

They were both clearly trying to deflect the negativity that's been brewing between us, and I felt even worse that despite my immature actions, they were still defending me. I had acted out in anger when I had done that and though I do regret it, it's helped me focus more on myself because it forced me to take a step back from the digital world and come back to earth.

The doorbell chimes, causing me to inwardly groan. The last thing I wanted to do on a Saturday night was to be bothered by anyone. I had already gotten the approval from the production crew to take a break from filming this weekend so I could take personal time off, and I was pretty clear that I didn't want to be bothered.

When I opened the door, I knew that my instructions didn't apply to the two people standing on my front steps.

"You look terrible."
