Annabeth's POV:

Leo has been my friend for a while now, but he DOES get on my nerves. I thought that he was just obnoxious and loud all the time! I would have never guessed he had suffered that. 'I'm stupid.' I chastised myself and snuggled deeper into Percy's chest.

Leo was still sitting in the chair when a different officer came in and brought him to a police car. Leo let himself be pushed in and drove to a brightly colored small house in the countryside. An elderly woman greeted them and herded him into a foyer/porch thing. "Why hello, sweetie." She greeted, "Take a seat," She ushered him into a fluffy chair that he reluctantly sank down on. "What's your name, dear?" He mumbled "Leo..." But she somehow heard him. "Well, Leo, my name is Monica Bailey."

She seemed familiar like I had seen her somewhere before. That's when her daughter came out to head to work. She stopped when she saw Leo and looked at her mother, obviously disappointed.

"Mother, did you foster another one?" She asked exasperatedly, though she probably knew the answer. "Yes, Kate, his name is Leo! And be nice, okay? He's your new little brother."

Kate groaned, "Okay mom." She walked over to where Leo sat uncomfortably and talked to him caringly, despite how annoyed she seemed, "Hi, I'm Kate, I guess I'm your new big sister. Wanna go check out the house?" Leo nodded hesitantly and Kate led him into the house.

Monica left for work, she worked as a nurse, and Kate stayed there with Leo and showed him around. She got him new clothes and a room. She sat with him on an oddly decorated couch. It was an off-white with light grey patterned swirls all around it. Colorful pillows spotted it and the other mismatching furniture. The kitchen behind them was full of cans and food, a lasagna sat on the oven. It looked styled to a 90s New York apartment, not a Texas countryside home. Leo looked very uncomfortable and lost in thought, he must've been thinking about his mom because tears rolled down his face.

Kate noticed this and lifted his head, she wiped away the tears and held him close, she whispered consoling things to him, and after a little while, he tired himself out and fell asleep. Kate picked him up and carried him upstairs to his room, three others lined the hall, each had a little chalkboard with a name on it. 'Noah', 'Ava and Tegan', and 'Kate'.

Leo looked so helpless in the dome, he would never agree to show us this. Where is he anyway? What did The Queen Diva mean by 'he is here with you'? Who are those other doors for?

I miss you, Kate... You could always tell what was wrong with me.

Odd, Leo is always positive and self-loving. He gets egotistical sometimes.

Kate laid him on the bed and tucked the covers to his chin.

The dome went dark and we stared at it for a few seconds before we were brought out of our daze by Jason clearing his throat. "Um, let's try and look past what we saw, did anyone know about his... Um... Past?" We all shook our heads, and he sighed, "Okay, I guess we just have to piece this together on a whim then."
