Chapter Nineteen, Face Of Fury

Elle slowly climbed the stairs to the floor where our dorm was, she continued to hold her hand to her chest in concern. It was like a lightening bolt flying through her body into her heart, like she'd seen something terrible and it shook her to the core. The pain began to fade as she approached the door, she remembered everything that had happened and began to smile widely.

Elle entered the dorm to see me sitting on the sofa watching TV, I'd been at home all day. For the most part I was thinking about Elles 'magic powers' as well as writing down stupid things that came to mind about life. I'd never actually owned a journal before and somehow I found it quite peaceful to jot down my thoughts.

"Hey, you were out very late" I said while looking across the room at Elle, she smiled and glanced to the ground while slightly blushing. I knew then instantly that she'd been with Ace all day and night. I raised my eyebrows at her as she looked up at me again, it seemed that the awkward vibes we had that morning were now gone. Something major had clearly happened.

"Well? Come sit down and tell me everything!" I shouted while patting the sofa loudly. Elle rolled her eyes and giggled to herself before approaching me and sitting down. She pulled off her shoes and sighed with content, I turned to face her and waited patiently for the gossip.

"We just, had a really good day together. We walked around all day talking, he held my hand, we went on an adventure and found a pretty tree with a swing. Yeah.." Elle explained before laughing nervously and covering her face with both hands. I started at her shock and slight anger.

"Wow, sounds like something out of a movie" I replied with a slight smile.

"But there's more.." Elle said with a huge grin, she began to compose herself like she was going to say something crazy.

"Do you know what a twin flame is? He thinks that I am his! That's like.. Huge!" Elle shouted happily as she jumped up from the sofa. I'd never seen her this happy in my whole life, it was weird. I watched her as she smiled and enjoyed her own positive emotions for once.

I couldn't help but feel immense rage towards Ace, he is clearly seeing Imogen but telling Elle that she is his soul mate? It's not right. He is playing her and I'm not going to let it happen.

"Diana?" Elle said interrupting my thoughts of anger, I looked up at her blankly.

"I'm glad that you're happy but, just be careful. Boys aren't always the kindest" I told her with a nervous look on my face. She nodded and sat down next to me again.

"I know but he's different. This feels very weird and unlike normal 'feelings'. I don't know how to describe it" Elle tried to explain but failed, I knew what she meant though. That one person you finally find who makes every single day feel brighter, they take away all of your burdens away just by being around you, in the hard times they become your only reason to live. And then, eventually, they'll tear you apart. You'll think to yourself how did it get this bad? What happened to those perfect happy days you once shared together? Then you leave each other, and you become a shell of the person you once were before the relationship even began.

"Yeah.. I know what you mean" I muttered quietly as my voice cracked, Elle smiled widely and hurried into the bedroom. I watched her carefully as she sat down on her bed and pulled out her laptop.

"I don't want her to become that person, me" I thought to myself as I continued to watch her from across the dorm. Before thinking myself into depression I decided to go to sleep, secretly planning what I was going to say to Ace the next day when I confronted him.

"Don't you have class tomorrow? It's 2:30am already" I asked Elle while quickly putting on my fluffiest pyjamas and jumping into bed. She looked over at me and nodded before burying her head in the laptop again.
