A Harsh Past, A Calm Future

Meliodas' P.O.V.

When I reached the waiting area I saw the sins, Ellatte, Margaret and Veronica. They seemed to notice that I came into the room as they got out of their seats. I told them to be a little quiet since Luna and Liane were taking a nap. I couldn't help but smile as they looked adorable.

"Guys the one with silver hair is Luna and the one with yellow hair is Liane." I said as I gestured to them.

I saw everyone look at the twins with much attention. That's when Zeldris came next to me and smacked me in the head. It didnt hurt but I was a little annoyed. I then introduced the twins to Margaret, Veronica and, Ellatte.

I looked up to see that Ellatte's eyes were shining as her eyes settled down on the twins. Margaret then asked me if Elizabeth was alright. I nodded my head and said that she was resting right now.

After a few hours Margaret, Veronica, Ellatte and the sins left the hospital to head home, meanwhile I went back to Elizabeth. I saw that she was still asleep. I put the twins back in the small beds and made sure they well wrapped in their blankets. I then took out my phone and called Merlin.

"Hey Merlin, I need your help."

"And what would be so important that I have to help you with, I'm rather busy with my experiments."

"Look, the day after the coronation, I needed help on solving Elizabeth's aunt's riddle. I went over to an old friend and he helped me figure it out."

"And what did he say?"

"Elizabeth was pregnant,"

Before I was able to continue the conversation, she hung up the phone. I was about to call her again when I heard her from behind.

"Where is she now, we have to make sure she and the child stay safe." She said frantically.

I told her that she had already given birth, and to twins, I then told her I was the father. Just by looking at her expression, you could tell she was shocked.

I told her the plan to trick her and see if we can stop her. When we were done setting up the trap, the last step was lure her and put a stop to her. Merlin went back to her place so she could observe the trap, meanwhile I went to a chair and decided to take a nap.

Merlin's P.O.V.

After I left, I used my sacred treasure to see if she would take the bait. Of course it was the middle of the night and I had many questions running through my mind.

A few hours later I saw something. Just barely but I saw a hand, I then saw her take a look at the two newborn sisters. I was waiting until Meliodas cued me in. I then heard the noise of a sword being unsheathed.

"what do you think you're doing." I head a familiar. It wasn't The Demon King but rather the Supreme Deity herself. Even if her eyes held the goddess symbol you can see that she is visibly upset.

As she raised her hand towards the sleeping newborn's, a barrier was raised around them. I looked back towards them to see that Selene was angry. She summoned a dagger. Elizabeth seemed to notice this and summoned her sacred treasure.

As Selene was attacking Elizabeth with her dagger, I noticed that Elizabeth's sacred treasure was cracking. Whe Selene attacked again Elizabeth used her sword to block her attack but in doing so her sword broke in half. Before Selene could deliver the final blow Meliodas blocked it by using Lostvayne.

I looked back at Selene, her expression now holding fear. I saw that she was getting ready to teleport away, so I teleported in the room and activated a magic seal on her back.
