chapter: u in my eyes

You don't say anything and look away from him, but he keeps staring.

"Are you okay?" he asks as you stand next to your desk awkwardly.

"Huh?" you turn your head and look into his eyes.

"Are you okay?" he says repeats moving his eyes elsewhere.

"Y-yes, I'm fine," you reply suddenly losing the angry feelings you had for him and sat next to him comfortably.

The bell rings and Soobin runs over towards you quickly.

"Rose-bud, I have to go to class, bye-bye," he said waving you goodbye with a smile.

"Bye," you say waving back expressionless.

"Where did you's go?" Taehyun asks pulling his book out of his bag.

"I walked around a fountain...then went to a cake shop, I got caught on my way home," you say as you start to giggle.

"The first day of school...enjoying it so far?" you ask him as he doesn't turn his head to answer but keeps looking at his book.

"I think this school is interesting," he says flipping a page.

"Is that it?" you ask as he suddenly looks at you with a dashing smile and it warms your heart.

"Even though you might only hear harsh words, their actions might be completely different" at first you didn't quite understand but then remember what Taehyun was talking about back at the library. So he was protecting me with harsh words...?

"Why didn't you ask for help...?" he said whilst staring at his book blankly.

"Well, you seem like the type to only care about yourself and have no interest in other's business. Sorry if that offends you,"

"I am, but I'm not so heartless as to walk past a maiden in need of assistance, especially in a harmful moment like that," he replied flipping another page.

"Right," you reply, still looking at his face. Handsome, handsome, handsome.

Of course, he wouldn't be interested in y/n's life...but why did you even have expectations?...

"Trouble," you say aloud thinking about what your mum says.

"The only thing pretty boys are good for, is trouble, I'm warning you, don't fall for someone out of your league again, you'll just end up getting hurt like last time,"

"Huh?" Taehyun says with his eyes on you making you speechless for a second.

"Oh, n-nothing, heh," you hesitate as his eyes speckle in the light.

"Keep reading," you insist, pointing at his book with a smile.

He turns his head once again to his book and continues reading.

"I'll just sit here..."

The end of the day arrived and you had intentions to befriend the quiet transfer that sits next to you every day. You wanted to make him feel more comfortable and to repay him for trying to help...

"Hey Taehyun!" you shout as he turns around before walking outside the school gates.

"Yes y/n?" he asks with a straight face walking towards you slowly.

"Which way do you walk? I was wondering if you wanted to walk home together...?" you hesitate and walk past him because he didn't reply.

"You don't have to, I-I was just being friendly. You probably have other things to do, right? Goodbye then, See you tomorrow," you leave him standing there and run out the gate, disappearing from his sight.
