"You know you remind me of my old friend," Taehyun said to you as he continued walking beside you. You looked up at him, he was so much taller than you.
"He was always bright, mischievous and forever smiling. He was fragile and needed my protection but never asked for it. He was independent most times I could barely reach him," he proceeded, walking faster as you try to keep up.
"His name was Kai, I called him Kamal but everyone called him Huening. Kai Kamal Huening," he said lightly as his voice shifted to a speaker of sentimental thoughts.
"He sounds like a really nice guy," you said as Taehyun turned in silence.
"Yeah, he really was," before turning back around and walking again.
He was? Did he die...?
+x+
You separated from Taehyun at a little food store down the road from the school and the moon had arrived.
"Are you sure you don't want me to walk you the rest of the way?" he asked with a face of worry.
"Don't worry, I learned karate when I was younger, did you know?" you boasted, holding up two fists. You didn't actually learn karate, but you gave your older brother enough hidings to know how to fight...sort of.
"Heh, see you at school tomorrow," he smiled as he waved goodbye.
"Mhm, bye-bye," you waved back and on your way back to Yeonjun you went, to the school gym!
The roads were pitch black ignited by the sidewalk light posts above your head. As you walked smoothly and slowly, faint thoughts of Beomgyu rushed into your head. The memories made you cringe which caused you to hit yourself in the head. The memories were that shameful you couldn't bear to think them.
You continued hitting your brain, mentally demanding to stop thinking such things.
"Ouch!" you said as the hits became harder.
Then, without notice, you felt a hand touch your shoulder.
"Excuse me,"
"Ah! You scared me!" you jumped with a scream.
You turned around and it was a tallboy. He was gorgeous.
"Wah, a living doll," you gasped as he cutely stuttered.
"I-I'm sorry, I-I'm just a little b-bit lost,"
For his height, he looked nothing like a young adult, he was so baby-like, his face looked soft and was as white as flour, his lips were stunningly pink and his eyes reflected the light of posts around him. He was ethereal.
"O-oh, I'll help you," you helped him back to the food store and sat him at the outside table as you gave him a drink of Yeonjuns. It was grape juice.
"No, thank you,"
"You don't like grape juice?!" you asked whilst examining him curiously.
He was dressed so clean but it wasn't a school uniform you'd seen before.
"The dean considers these type of liquids not fit for students like me, she favours sparkling water," he says so maturely...much different from his first stuttering impression.
"I have never seen your uniform before and...I don't think we have a school named Pleasant Grove Private school of Fine Arts...Oh, it's a private school?!" you exclaimed reading the symbol and name on his dark blue sweater.
"Your name is Hyuka? Is that short for something?" you asked, tapping his name tag.
"E-excuse me, I barely know you and have no knowledge of where you have previously been or what contaminated objects you have touched with your hands. Please mind your distance," he distances himself from you with a judgy yet child-hesitant eye.
Is he germaphobic or something?
"So...where are you wanting to go?" you asked him as he sat stiff and cautious.
"I stupidly fell asleep on the bus which I stupidly jumped on and ended up here,"
"Wait, can I ask where you're from?"
"You won't know the place even if I tell you," he said shaking his head lightly with a sneer.
"Where am I right now, exactly?" he asked, leaning closer to you from across the table.
"You're in Seoul...ahhh! Are you from overseas??" you stammered, glaring at him with sparkling and curious eyes. "That's strange, even if you grew up abroad, you should at least know where Seoul is...unless...were you born overseas? Mm, no I don't think so...although you do look a little mixed,"
"Can you stop asking so many questions!? Just tell me my exact location!" he stood up after yelling and huffing.
"Why is he suddenly so rude?? He looked so scared just a second ago!"
"Ahh! They're gonna find me before I find him!" he held his hips and huffed, blowing out sighs in the cold night air.
"Do you have someone here to help you?" you said standing up as well.
"You think I would be sitting at an outside table of a food store that looks like a dusted-up library with you if I knew anyone here?!?! Ah! Forget it! I'll get around myself!" he walked away with a large sigh of irritation and dropped something from his pocket. It was a black square that looked nothing of value.
"Oh, Mr! your-"
"Don't touch me!" he screeched pulling away from your touch.
"Y-you dropped your...uh...I don't know what this is..." but as you looked up he was gone.
You looked around holding the plain square as your mind was flustered. You put it in your pocket and walked away.
"What a strange boy..."

"Yeonjun-ah! Here!" you held out the bag as he ran towards you.
"Uwahh! Thank you my beautiful little sister," he smiled and patted your head as he skulled down a box of grape juice.
"Come play ball with me and my friends," he said placing the bag of goods near your feet and raising his eyebrows with a large closed-mouth grin.
"It's okay, I'm good. I have to drop off these bread rolls to Binnie anyway," you replied taking out small wraps of bread before Junnie turned around in eye rolls.
"Binnie, OoOoOh, taking snacks to your boyfriend Binnie, OooOoh," he chuckled as you kicked the air in front of him.
"Get lost!" you shouted at him before throwing a kick in the air.
I am not his girlfriend!
