Rebirth

The pain, the scorching sun marking into my dead skin. The first breath of air I had inhaled for a time i had no knowledge of , filling my lungs with life. My legs were struggling to move from the years of inactivity, aching, sending pain through my body. I stepped through the hole in he wall, the wall surrounding my cell, blocking prisoners from any outdoor life. How the hole appeared there I don't know, but I knew that it happened for a reason, someone or something had set me free. I was about to take another step before I noticed that there was no ground in front of my feet, just a giant drop into vicious water. I must have been in a tower, that would be the only possible explanation for the drop. I took the moment to look at the cell behind me, there were various rotting corpses of people that weren't as lucky as I, people who hadn't been saved, people who hadn't been..... Reborn. I suddenly realized the truth, I had heard stories but never thought it was possible. The truth hit me hard, it was overwhelming. It caused me to drop, drop head first, down into the jaws of death below.
