From that day forward, the Story of Tabitha Madoc had become a sort of ghost story to that small, unassuming village in the rural parts of Wales. Nobody knows if it was myth, fiction, or true, mostly because only few witnessed it, and those very few were either frantic in a roundabout way or believed they were insane.
As times changed, the story twisted in so many ways nobody knew what the original entailed. What happened to Tabitha after she disappeared? Did she really go to the Otherworld? Or was she taken somewhere else? Did Callan his mother really venture after the girl and disappear once they made it to Ireland? Nonetheless, the Story of Tabitha Madoc is a cruel one, and served as a ghost story that warned against human cruelty and violence, unless they wanted the dragon from the story to return and finish off the village for good.
Hopefully, the story was nothing more than a story, and if it weren't, maybe Tabitha still lives to this day, happily living together with the dragon in the world where Man never ages, for she was never heard from again. Some say, however, they can see her dancing just beyond the horizon, above the water, happily dancing with her beast beneath the bluff and the butterfly made of fire.
