It was becoming Springtime where Changbin and Felix were. The nicer weather seemed to have helped the two boy's moods as it was becoming easier to survive. They've been staying together for two months now, and they're becoming closer than ever.
''Look, Binnie! Our precious baby brought some flowers to me!'', Felix cheered as he held up a few wildflowers he received from their dog. Changbin watched with a fond smile as the other boy said ''gimme paw!'' and the puppy threw her paw in Felix's hand. He scooped her up and spun her around with her ears flopping all over the place. She was already growing since the time she was found by the Aussie boy.
''Hey Changbin, can you smile like that more?'', Felix blatantly asked as he placed the small pup down, after seeing Changbin smile fondly at him. Right when he asked that, Changbin purposely put on a dead face to annoy Felix. ''Hey, that's not fair, I like your smile'', Felix pouted and Changbin subconsciously ruffled the pouting boy's hair.
Later that day, the sun was finished setting to reveal a dark blue sky, and Felix took his dog out to play a bit. That wasn't exactly the best idea, but he used the excuse of the temperature being really nice. As Felix was about to go back inside, he felt a hand cover his mouth. As he froze out of fear, he felt the cold edge of a knife against his throat.
Loud dog barks echoed through the air which alerted Changbin that something was wrong. He ran out of the mini-mart to see a hooded man holding a knife to his friend's throat. Without hesitation, he took out a shotgun that was perched in his belt holder. Slowly approaching the two, he saw the boy hold the knife even tighter to Felix's throat.
He couldn't take it when he heard Felix choke out apologies for going outside when he shouldn't have, or telling Changbin to to not come closer because he may be hurt too. Because of this, Changbin shot at the ground near the mysterious boy's foot. It seemed to deeply startle him and when Changbin got closer he could see the fear in his eyes- he didn't really want to kill.
Changbin swiftly took off the boy's hood and saw something he would never expect. His heart dropped and he slowly lowered the gun that was currently pointed at the other's head. It was Seungmin.
''Changbin?'', Seungmin muttered, quickly releasing Felix from his tight hold. He stumbled backwards and failed to properly speak for a bit, ''I-I'm sorry I didn't want to kill him, I just-'', Seungmin was interrupted.
''Why?'', is all Changbin could speak out. ''I'm alone and I need to do everything to survive. Isn't that what everyone does?'', Seungmin snapped but he didn't mean to sound cold.
Seungmin turned around and started walking away because he felt guilty for what he just did, but Changbin stopped him and said,''Stay. I'll let you stay if you don't pull any more of that shit.'' Seungmin nodded and leaped forward to hug Changbin,''Thank you so much. I'm really sorry.''
The two led Seungmin into the shelter, noticing how the boy looked very shooken up. Changbin introduced Seungmin as an old friend of his, they went to elementary school together before the younger had to move away. Apparently, Seungmin moved back to Korea without Changbin knowing.

"I'm really sorry Binnie, but this kid is making me feel weird", Felix slightly whispered to Changbin. Besides not liking him at the start because he nearly got killed, Felix got a bad feeling from Seungmin. It might not have been a feeling of danger or unsafeness, but the freckled boy felt a strange aura around the brunette.
Felix wasn't completely wrong though, because Changbin could sense the obvious change in the taller boy's personality and behavior. He couldn't tell whether it was because of his age, or the fact that he might be going through tough times. Seungmin hasn't quite spoken about his experiences during this whole ordeal, so he may be struggling quite a lot.
Changbin decided to leave it alone though, coming with terms that the two boys haven't seen each other in years, and Seungmin just became more mature. The raven-haired boy could admit though, he missed the loud and outgoing Seungmin he once knew, that he hasn't quite seen yet.

"Hey Seungmin, ya' alright?", Changbin strolled over to his old friend. Said boy only nodded, but anyone could sense by his body language that he was in fact not okay. Seungmin was bobbing his leg up and down, while furiously biting his nails. Changbin didn't ever remember him doing that.
But of course, Seungmin changed over time.
"You guys want some food?", both boys heard Felix yell from the opposite side of the mini market. Changbin got up and asked Seungmin whether he wanted to eat, but he politely refused. He would be sure to keep some food for the brunette, though.
"Something horrible must have happened to him", Felix sighed to Changbin. Seungmin has been staying with the pair for a week now, both Changbin and Felix have been supporting him as much as possible.
Felix tried to fall asleep, with the older staying awake to watch the area. Holding the blonde tight, Changbin let the boy snuggle up to him since Felix had to give his bed to Seungmin. It was difficult for him to drift into dreamland though, as the sound of mumbling interrupted the suffocating silence.
Changbin looked over at Seungmin, to see said boy sitting at the edge of his tattered mattress with eyes wide open. He was spewing nonsense, making the black-haired boy quite uncomfortable. Felix stirred awake, only for Changbin to softly lull him back to sleep. He didn't want the sleepy boy to be any bit startled by Seungmin and his alarming actions.
Changbin decided to leave Seungmin alone, concluding that he was just sleepwalking.
