tw: suicide attempt- i have to mention that i am not trying to romanticize anything that can be possibly triggering,, stay safe bubbies <3

Felix awoke at the crack of dawn, enveloped in the warmth of the currently sleeping raven haired boy, but covered in only a thin sheet. He rubbed his eyes, putting in an effort to get his eyesight used to the current lighting. It was quiet.. maybe too quiet.

The freckled boy looked over to Seungmin's bed, to see his eyebrows knitted, holding a facial expression of distress. As if something snapped in him, the brunette bolted awake with a loud gasp, startling Felix. Seungmin started breathing heavily, with tears threatening to spill at any second. Felix asserted Changbin to wake up, as he did after only a few seconds.

"Minnie, what's wrong?", Changbin softly asked as he arose from his mattress to travel to the other one. He noticed how Seungmin was violently shaking, making the older deeply concerned.

"They're going to hurt us, we're going to die!", Seungmin shakily yelled, repeating that same horrifying phrase over and over. The tone in his voice was unlike anything Changbin has heard before. "Seungmin get a hold of yourself, please", Changbin begged. He lightly took a hold of Seungmin's hands making sure not to startle him, and rubbed circles on them.

Although still drowsy, Felix tried to comfort Seungmin as well, fetching him water and rubbing his back. Both boys were still clueless as to why Seungmin was acting like this, but shortly received an answer.

In the midst of panic, Seungmin cried,"They took my family, they took my friends.. Hyunjin is fucking dead because of these bastards!" He was trying his best not to hyperventilate, but these feelings were hard to bare. This was the first time he's displayed his real emotions around Changbin and Felix.

"Seungmin, you're strong and I believe you can get through this. We'll help you, we'll stay with you", Felix tried his best to get comforting words through to the brunette. This worked to no avail, as Seungmin abruptly got off of the bed. The other two boys closely watched his actions.

Everything was swirling around Seungmin's mind, yet he wasn't thinking at all at the same time. He was too busy being caught up in complete panic, therefore being unable to completely grasp any type of proper thought.

Digging through a bag, Seungmin grabbed what he was looking for. In his hands was a handgun, which was small but powerful enough to take someone out. "Changbin, Felix, I can't take this anymore. I'm so sorry..", Seungmin sobbed, raising the gun to his head with violently shaking hands. He didn't want to do this but it would be his only escape.

Seungmin's expectations were quickly ruined though, as Changbin swiftly grabbed his wrist and knocked the weapon out of the boy's hands, letting a loud clank sound echo throughout the shelter. Felix quickly grabbed it, making sure the brunette boy wouldn't get it back in his grasp.

"Changbin please, I need to do this. I'll only be a burden to you two. I want to leave, please!" Seungmin begged to the older, tears rapidly falling down his round cheeks. The older's heart was breaking at the sight of his childhood friend becoming so desperate to the point of wanting to leave his life. Seungmin wanted to escape this horrible, never-ending reality.

Felix took the bullets out of the gun, ran out of the shop, and tossed them to where they wouldn't easily be retrieved. The sounds of Seungmin's cries were driving him mad, he wanted the suffocating silence back. The freckled boy came back to see Changbin tightly holding Seungmin, whispering things into the sobbing boy's ears.

Seungmin kept repeatedly throwing apologies into the open air, only to be softly hushed by Changbin. He was truly sorry for scaring both of the boys, as he didn't realize how it would actually effect them and make them shaken up. The brunette was having trouble thinking of anyone else in the midst of panic.

Although Felix felt like breaking down, he knew better to be strong and let Changbin focus all of his attention onto Seungmin. Instead of letting his emotions get to him, the blonde comforted his dog, who was in distress from all of the yelling and sudden movements.

Eventually, Changbin seemed to calm Seungmin down. All of the boys, especially Seungmin of course, were still in a state of shock. They ate some half-cooked rabbit and tried to converse about random things to distract each other from reality, with Felix trying his best to crack jokes. Changbin noticed how Felix discreetly became needy for attention, so he pulled the younger onto his lap. All Felix needed was someone to hold his hand, but he was more satisfied with what he actually got.

After a long while of convincing, Felix and Changbin got Seungmin to go back to bed. He should have been thankful that his friends saved his life, but the brunette boy wasn't satisfied. He wanted a sweet release, the feeling of not being able to feel at all.

"This so damn hard.. how much of this can I really take?", Felix whispered to Changbin as his voice was too unsteady to talk normally. The two boys were closely watching Seungmin, although they felt any type of adrenaline quickly wearing off. If something else were to happen, they probably wouldn't have enough energy to do anything.

Changbin shook his head and rested his hand on the freckled boy's thigh,"Do you know how strong you've been? In these few months, we've gone through so much yet you're still here by my side. You could have left me, you could have hidden yourself forever, or you could have taken the short way out like Seungmin tried to. There's all of these things yet you decided to keep going no matter what. I'm proud of you, Lix."

Felix felt his heart swell, these few sentences giving him a sense of warmth that he hasn't felt in quite a while. The boy smiled, partially because he knew Changbin loved it, and that he needed some source of light to brighten him up. "Thank you, Binnie. Thanks a lot", Felix brought his head to rest onto Changbin's shoulder.

Soon enough, the raven haired boy could hear soft snores coming from both boys. He was relieved that Seungmin was able to fall asleep, he was definitely completely drained of all energy. There was only hope that the younger wouldn't try to hurt himself again, as Changbin would blame himself. The raven-haired boy softly lifted Felix's head from his shoulder and shifted his body to let his head lay on the pillow instead.

The awake boy contemplated on how he has been staying so strong, knowing he really wasn't as mentally and emotionally stable as he should be. He thought of Seungmin, his special and wonderfully annoying childhood friend, and their unnamed dog. His mind wandered to Felix- his smile, laugh, and fragile personality that constantly made Changbin want to put the blonde in his pocket and keep him in there forever.

Changbin came to the conclusion that he had only these things to live for, and he would not stop at anything to make sure they are safe.
