SITTING AT THE TABLE THE REDHEAD STARED AT HER BOOK LIKE IT WAS THE ONLY THING KEEPING HER SANE. Not a single hair out of place and her perfect posture to the outside world she just blended in like every other average teenager. In her favorite spot, the booth with the busted tiny jukebox.
"Chamomile tea and a corn muffin," A voice said and she jumped almost as if she was out of a trance.
"I didn't—" Stopping mid-sentence looking up at the boy a chuckle involuntarily left her throat.
"You've been in here for about three hours now. Usually, you sit work for about an hour and then you come up to order this. Instead, you've stared at that same page this entire time. Don't get me wrong I love me some Rupi Kaur but something tells me you're upset. So your favorite tea and corn muffins on me I hope everything works itself out, Faye," Staring at him almost mesmerized she could not help but smile at his generosity.
"Thanks, Dean," Faye said, taking a sip of her tea Dean smiled at her before leaving her to her book. Looking back at the page the words whispered truth into the void.
The universe took its time on you
crafted you precisely
so you could offer the world
something distinct from everyone else
so when you doubt
how you were created
you doubt an energy greater than us both
Taking a bite out of the corn muffin she could not stop the smile that broke out across her face. He made it just as she liked, lightly toasted with a small hint of butter rubbed across the bottom. Once again her focus was broken this time by vibrations from her phone.

When you're done alienating we can talk about it if you want or ignore it and party at the Old mill tonight.
Staring at the text weighing the pros and cons were simple, a few drinks is exactly what she needed. Packing away her book she looked up from her booth to see the cafe had gotten busy. Choosing to just throw away the remainder of her food rather than bother Dean as she stood at the door she waited. When he caught her gaze she gave a little wave before exiting the cafe. Looking around the now dying down town of Mystic Falls she knew her interaction with Dean was not necessarily illegal but Headmaster Ric would not approve of it. Getting back to the school by Uber she slipped through the halls skillfully going unnoticed. Most of everyone was off to their own devices or already at the party. Unlocking the door to her room she was greeted by the impatient Mikaelson.
