3 days later...

Remus was glad it was finally Sunday. The post office was closed and he had a day to relax. If you could consider daily farm chores and cleaning cottages a relaxing day.

After morning chores, Remus made his way into the main cottage, were he and Peter lived and where tenants could eat a fresh cooked meal (dinner on Thursday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays and breakfast everyday) and do their own laundry.

Sirius was sitting in the kitchen at the breakfast nook eating a bowl of oatmeal, no doubt prepared by Peter while Remus was in the barn.

"No post on Sundays?" Sirius asked while Remus filled his own bowl with oatmeal.

Remus glanced at Sirius, who he hadn't seen since the first day he, Lily and James arrived on the island. "Nope."

"Okay."

Remus turned to leave the kitchen to eat his breakfast in the dining room.

"Remus."

Remus spun around on the balls of his feet, "yeah?"

"Come sit," Sirius slid over on the bench he was occupying so Remus could join him at the table.

Remus looked at Sirius hesitantly. To him, the weird connection they shared didn't just disappear in three days. Or maybe it was never really there. Remus didn't know. Either way his feelings (?) towards Sirius hadn't changed.

"Can I ask you something?" Remus asked as he took a seat next to Sirius.

"I suppose you already know more about me than most people, so I don't see why not."

"When you took the wine glasses from the kitchen a few nights ago, you told me that you wanted to look forward to seeing me. Was that flirting?"

"Remus, I-"

"That came out kind of wrong. I just, it's been a while since I dated, and maybe it's because I was missing signs. But I'm not sure. So just be honest."

"Honestly? Yeah, I guess I was. It was kind of unintentional though. I just thought, no I don't know. It just seemed natural. It wasn't forced, so it kind of just slipped out. I think."

"So yes, it was flirting but no, you didn't mean it?"

"Right, but not in leading you on kind of a way."

"That doesn't really make sense,"

"Well it's all I've got."

"So, if you weren't engaged-"

"Remus, I barely know you."

"But you were flirting, so what was your plan? Just make me fall for you and then leave me in the dust when you go back to your rich boy marriage."

"What?" Sirius began laughing. "Are you really victimizing me for being forced into a relationship?" He continued laughing. "That's awful. God, Remus, I need more of you in my life." He said with a genuine smile plastered on his face.

His reaction confused Remus. "What do you mean?"

Sirius sighed, "James and Lily are great, but sometimes it feels like they don't want me to talk about what I'm going through and what this marriage actually means for me because it would make them sad. But I have to, I want to. I just need to get it all off my chest. Part of me doesn't even think it's really happening."

"And saying it out loud will make it seem more real." Remus finished for him.

"God, Remus Lupin, where have you been all my life?"
