announcement: smut ahead

trigger warning: thoughts of self harm

It would be a lie to say that the next 14 days didn't go pretty much the same as that day Remus and Sirius spent on the boat. Besides the actual boating part, of course. Sirius would often spend entire days at the post office, bringing Remus coffee and lunch that they'd share. After Remus closed up, they'd walk around downtown, then bike home and enjoy dinner with all of their friends before making their way to Sirius' cottage where they could enjoy each other more privately. It was domestic and blissful, and it was coming to an end.

The Monday of Sirius, Lily and James' departure, Albus had volunteered to take care of the post office so Remus could see Sirius off. It wasn't often that Remus and Sirius could just lay in bed in the morning, still naked and tangled together and a bit sore from the night before, and it would never happen again. Sirius was boarding the 5 pm ferry, which was a mere 7 hours from now.

Remus rolled over so his face was pressed to Sirius' back. He started pressing kisses into his sleepy lovers' skin; kissing across bright right scratch marks that he'd left there earlier. And soon the kisses and scratch marks mixed with tears that Remus couldn't keep from falling. The thought of Sirius leaving was heartbreaking.

Remus didn't want Sirius to see him like this; he'd promised him that he wouldn't get hurt when Sirius left, but how could he not. He was so attached to Sirius; no one had ever understood him so well or accepted him so quickly.

Remus didn't even realize it, but he was shaking, which lead to Sirius waking up. He rolled over to face Remus. "Remus? What's wrong?" He asked groggily.

Remus smiled sadly, "I thought I'd be ready for you to go. But I'm not."

Sirius lifted his hand and swiped a tear from Remus' cheek. "I know, baby, I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. I asked for this. I knew what the strings were."

Sirius nodded and they laid there quietly for a while, each tracing the curves and protrusion of the other that they already knew so well.

"What do you want to do today?" Sirius asked.

"Time travel back to yesterday?"

"Then what would we do tomorrow?"

"Go back again." Remus said simply.

"You're a huge dork, did you know that?"

Remus grinned, "I think you might have mentioned that once or twice."

Sirius leaned in and stole a quick kiss from the still smiling Remus.

"Of course," Remus continued, "that's not exactly what you were calling me last night."

"Sod off," Sirius exclaimed as he felt his face flush, "I'm still sore, you know."

Remus rolled on top of him and left a dark love bite on his collar bone. "Really?" He murmured against Sirius' Adam's apple. He felt it bob when Sirius swallowed. "And what can we do about that?"

"We could.." Sirius shifted his hips, letting them grind into Remus' for just long enough to throw him off his balance, before rotating them fully so he now straddled Remus. "..start with something like this."

Remus' breathing quickened as he felt blood flow to the region that was pressed between Sirius' thighs. "S-sure," he whimpered as Sirius took to marking him with hickeys. He trailed his way down Remus' torso from the jutting edges of his collar bones to the protrusions of hip bones; taking extra care to find the nerve endings in Remus' navel, which drew a yelp from Remus' lips.
