The Dream

As I was sprinting, my heart was pounding as loud as a drum. My hospital gown was flowing behind me. I was a mess. My braided hair was falling out and going everywhere. There was a sticky, red substance all over my body, which I’m assuming is blood. I couldn’t remember anything, and the only thing I could hear was my own, loud heartbeat. As I turned the corner, I started to see the flashing red and blue lights that seemed to be as bright as the sun, and that were coming for me. I don’t remember what I did or what was wrong with me. My hearing was slowly coming back, but still, my pounding heart took over it. I heard people screaming but I couldn’t understand. Then, my mind went blank. The last thing I remember was my body slamming into a puddle.

When I woke up, I was in a bed. It looked like a 12 year old girls room. I sat up, not knowing who I am or what had happened last night. I got out of the bed, but I felt really dizzy like i was just spun around 10 times. I went to the bathroom and couldn’t believe my eyes. I looked in the mirror and suddenly remembered everything, except, I was 12 years old again. I walked downstairs remembering my old house. I was amazed. But then, the room started spinning. I didn’t know what was happening.

Then everything stopped, and I fell to the floor. I was still in my old house but something was different. I then realized that I was older now. Close to the age I was last night. “About 17,” I guessed out loud. Then, I heard people yelling at eachother. I got up, ran downstairs, and seen my parents fighting. They starting throw stuff at each other and broke every piece of glass they could. When they noticed I was standing there, watching, my dad screamed, “This is all your fault!”

Then I woke up at midnight, sweating enough to fill a 12 ft. pool, from my terrible dream. I was so confused. The dream seemed so real. I got up and looked in the mirror. I was 19 again which is my correct age, but I was wearing a ripped hospital gown…. with blood on it. I had cuts and bruises all over my body. Then I heard sirens. I ran to the window and seen all the flashing blue and red lights that were as bright as the sun on a hot summer day in my front yard. Before I could even think about what I wanted to do next, I heard a big crowd stumbling up the stairs. The next thing I knew, I was being handcuffed for something I don’t remember doing.
