Bad Decisions

At approximately 12:03 a.m., the city of Manhattan was hidden by the fog. All I could hear was the whistle of the wind, and the dripping of water down the sides of the buildings.. The debris was drifting along the sidewalks of the streets, piling in the corners of alleys. The air was as moist as the ground and the wind, cold against my skin.

I have been running, searching for the right alley to hide in. At last I found one, dark and empty. This alley is skinny, no way can a car fit through here. I find a wide pole that I can hide behind for the night. I try to sleep, but all I can think about is the trouble I am getting myself into. I can’t decide, was this worth it? I keep going over the sequence of events in my head…

“Let’s just break this window, and have someone climb through and unlock the back door”, Kara said.

Sophie said,”I’ll grab this piece of wood and break the window.”

Once we broke the window, Kara climbed through and unlocked the back door.

Let’s just take this laptop and get out of here”, said Shelby.

“Hurry, I hear something!”, says Sophie.

When we heard the sirens, we split up in different directions. All I could think about was running as far away from here as I could. My mind was filled with fear as I ran, images of me being handcuffed flashed through my mind. I kept telling myself everything would be alright, but I knew this would come back to haunt me. My only advantage was the thick fog covering the streets to hide me from the cops..

After running for what seemed like forever, I found that dark skinny alley at which to hide. I stayed put for the next two hours, then decided to make my way home. To my relief the house was dark so I could sneak in. I crawled in bed and fell into a deep sleep. Only to be awakened by a loud knocking on the door.
