*10 years later*

Loud applause broke out through the entire ground as an eight-year-old girl speeded across the finish line. The results were as expected as the bubbly child clutched the gold metal to her bosom, grinning so cheerly one's heart might melt. Her mocha-brown eyes scanned the audience for particular woman. The girl ran happily into her arms, as the slender lady smothered her over with kisses.

"Yes, Mira! I knew you could do it. You've always been my golden girl. Congrats, love!"

The sweet angel pecked her mama's lips before being engulfed in the hands of a handsome man, who lifted her up in the air.

"Papa!", the girl cried out in escasty.

"Careful, honey. You might strain your back.", the ever-caring voice of Anushka demanded Archit to stop their daughter's flight mid-way.

"Bawah, I wanted more!", Mira cried out as her father kissed her.

"I knew it! You always win. You are so different form the other kids.", he exclaimed, though it wasn't far from the truth. Anushka and Archit have lost their demonic powers ever since they returned form the Other World. Ten years has passed by, ten years of moving on from the loss of true friends, ten years of moving on from terrifying realizations, ten years of rigorous hard work to lift the once bankrupt Depolot company back to its zenith. It's been nine years of their marriage and though Mira, their pretty daughter was apparently as sweet and normal as any child, she has been showing signs of being a half-demon.

Anushka worryingly eyed Archit as he spoke that, internally knowing what he meant by his previous statement. Right now, little Mira has absolutely no idea that her parents were once demons and that she was one too, but would it be too late when she finds out that her parents are survivors of the Other World for real.

Archit met the chocolate-eyed woman's gaze and smiled faintly. HE took in his wife's appearance: her still charming face, her perfect figure, her caring nature. It was as if he fell in love again. She was the one who helped him survive those traumatizing times of the downfall of his company. She was the one who expanded their company so much that it grew exponentially and is now a Forbes100 one. She is the reason why Mira could study in India's richest school right now. However, it hasn't been easy for her. Ever since that fateful night, Anushka has no longer remained the same person that she was. It took her years to fight off her depression and by God's grace and Mira's mere presence, she has been able to do so.

Anushka clutched Mira's hand tightly as Archit wrapped his arms around her shoulders, the trio walked towards their brand-new Mercedes, exiting the sports complex. They were driving towards the graveyard, a daily ritual, so sacred and so sombre that it shouldn't be missed at any cost.

"May God rest her soul.", a teary-eyed Anushka chocked out as she lay a bouquet of flowers at the foot of the cold stone. Archit clasped Mira's hand as they stared at the dull-coloured tomb- the remnants of a woman so brave and so dear.

"Lara Larason. 1895-2009. Liked by many. Loved by none.", Anushka read the tomb inscription for the umpteen time. "How could she mention such an absurd statement on her tomb? Did we not love her? I don't understand you Lara! It was for you that we hastened from the Other World, risking limb and life in the pursuit. For you that we dealed with literal demons, killed our humanity. Why, couldn't you hold I for a little longer, Lara?", Anushka questioned to no one in particular. Archit quietly slipped out of the graveyard with Mira, letting his wife have her share of regret, accusations and condolences in peace.
