Journey To The OtherWorld

Open Wounds.

Her huge, brown eyes mysteriously stared at me. She smirked, her lips forming a villiany curve. The on-fleek eyebrows arched up questioningly but also knowingly. My feet were rooted to the ground, I flapped my arms about in a state of utter madness but nothing could help me move. The lady took one step towards me. Tears formed at the brim of my eyes as every bad memory I've gone through flashed across my mind. The dagger cruelly glinted in her hands as she raised it in the blinding sunlight. My back burned like crazy as if a thousand bees were swarming over them. I felt soft fingers cajole my chapped lips. Lifting my chin up, I saw Tina, still mercilessly smiling at me. However the smirk melted into a real smile as she ran her thumb across my lower lip. And like that, the scrotching heat turned into a welcome tropical warmth, cherry trees started blossoming about and the sweet chirping of birds truly filled me with joy.

"Do you trust me?", she asked, her voice a fantastic mixture of peaches and cream.

I stared back at her honey-hazel eyes, taking her features in. I wanted to push her away, to scream, to run away. But instead, I found myself leaning onto her personal touch.

"Do you trust me?", she repeated, this time firmer. I shuddered.

I wanted to yell out loud,"NO!", but my tongue seemed to have a mind of it's own.

"I do.",I softly spoke.

This time, she smirked. I watched as her face broke into an expression of pure pleasure. She started laughing like a maniac and suddenly the hands holding my jaw tightened threatningly. I screamed as loud as I could, but the sound of her tyrant laughter seemed to drown everything out. The shadows across her face grew darker and darker as fangs started emerging.

"Anushka!", she yelped out like the lunatic she was.

"Anushka!", louder.

"Anushka!"

I shot open my eyes. To my relief, no Tina was there. Instead the concerned(and should I say, very, very handsome) face of Archit hovered over mine. I clutched my T-shirt as he watched me. I could feel my heart beating out like an ape shit pyscho drum but the petriyfing dream didn't seem to be the only reason why.

Archit caught my hand as I sat up straight. He rolled circles on the small of my back as he tried to comfort me. To shake off the remnants of the dream still flashing across my soul, I hugged him tight, maybe, a little too tight.

He, however, didn't seem to mind as he ushered out comforting words.

"Tell me but only if you want to."

I stared in his brown orbs, completely lost in him. Ever since the day I've met him I've kept thinking about him, even though I was in potential danger. And those horridely sick dreams featuring Tina seemed to never stop, so I decided it was a good idea to speak up.

I told him each and everything. About the recurring dreams, the way Tina holds onto me, how I reply in the affirmative for her trust, and how she turns into a soul-shaking monster afterward. Archit simply listened to my ordial, nodding his head sometimes. After a heavy silence of ten minutes he spoke up.

"The dream you've described to me seems pretty sketchy, Anushka. Would you belive it if I told you that I had the same dreams once?",he signed and I jerked my head up, meeting his eyes, I nodded a no and he continued,"I guess I haven't still opened up everything about myself. While you on the other hand have trusted me like a kitten. That makes me a real bad person, doesn't it,Anushka?".

I didn't know what he meant by that but I knew that he wasn't a bad person. Of course,he was a jerk sometimes and lost his temper real quick but that all had nothing to do with fact that he was the sweetest guy on Earth(and the OtherWorld!). I really liked him, I surely did.
