She's not going to get away with this "accident". That's for sure. I need to think of something big. At this point, I don't care if I get in trouble. Tomorrow is Sunday and I need to work. It almost 11 pm and I'm just sitting in my bed. I slowly drift off into a peaceful sleep.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP" my alam clock screams at me. I turn it off. The time says 5:30 am. I jump out of bed and start to get ready for work. I put on my black and brown uniform and walk approach the street. I go but the crosswalk and walk across the street. I can see the lights from the shops all over and the smoke coming from the buses and cars. It's very cold outside and there is disgusting slush on the ground.

The air of New York smells like gas and coffee. The coffee shop I work at has its little blue and red sign that just turned on. I push open the big glass door. The strong sent of coffee fills my nose and I take a deep breath in. I set my stuff down on the marble counter and start to make my mocha.

"Hello." Someone says. They turn around in their chair. I turn around with surprise. I didn't think anyone was here this early. It was Britney. My fists clench and all my muscles tighten up.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I demand.

"I thought I would just ruin your job, that's it." She says with a sarcastic attitude and a giggle.

"You wouldn't." I say back to her with anger bubbling up inside me.

"But I would." She says looking me directly in the eyes. I walk past her and continue to make my drink.

"Fine. You have to work the mochas and lattes today. I'll be working everything else with Sam. Got it?" I say.

"Whatever." She says. When she isn't looking, I crank up the radio all the way and just wait for her to turn it on. I just know she will. The day's goes on and we only get a few customers. Nothing special happens. Time passes and its now almost time for closing.

Suddenly the boss walks in. His name is Carlos and he is always harsh. His face looks pink and purple, like he'd been holding his breath. Carlos wearing a casual grey suit and some dress shoes. He has slightly less hair down the middle of his head. It looks like he's 50, but he's really only 35. He walks up to Britney with vines popping out of his neck and forehead. This is going to be good.

"Britney!" He screams with anger erupting from his voice. His eyes are almost popping out of his skull and the vines on his neck stick out even more.

"Uh-uh-yessir?" Britney replies with a small voice like she is expecting to be awarded.

"Did you forget to do these things?" He says as he slams a piece of paper onto the counter in front of her. It reads

"1. Clean each table.
2. Clean out the steamer
3. Refill the ice bucket
4. Get whole milk"

Britney's face shrivels up and gets as red as a tomato. She tries to talk but nothing is coming out. I can see the tears gather up in her eyes and I almost feel bad for her. If she didn't deserve it, I would being crying with her. But in this case, she can get fired.

"I hate to say this on your first day but, you are fired." He says. She starts to cry and runs out of the building.

I feel like the happiest person alive right now. The best part is, I didn't even plan that. Karma took care of that for me. Knowing Carlos, I know that he would of fired Britney on the first day. She is not someone he can put up with. He can barley put up with me. As I'm walking out, I hear a loud blast of rock and roll music and Carlos screams,

"BRITNEY!"
