Christmas on board the Aronax || The Deep

Fontaine POV
Finn had began to get nervous. Mom had told us to come to the kitchen in an hour or so to have dinner.
"Finn!" I say
"Fontaine, never before have I been so nervous!" He said pacing around the room. I would of been amused seeing him like this but honestly I felt that way too. The way Dad was staring at Finn when he first came in board. Mom was open minded but I could see she didn't trust Finn at all. Ant on the other hand was teasing me constantly. Before he was watching us through the glass in the door, I don't think he liked Finn much either.
"Finn! Calm down!" I say holding his hand.
He smiled at me.
"I hope this goes well!" Finn said with a slight tone of worriedness in his voice.
"Fontaine come to the kitchen!" Mom said over her comm.

Kaiko POV
I had told Finn and Fontaine to come to the kitchen in a hour so that I would try to convince Will.
"Will..." I began
"I know what your going to see Kaiko, I'll try to be open minded!" Will replied giving me a kiss a the cheek too. I smiled at him, he seemed calmer than I expected.
"Fontaine come to the kitchen!" I say over my comm. Ant comes running in first, then Finn and Fontaine come in to. As we sit together I notice Finn was very nervous. He could barely pick up his cup without shaking.
I glanced over at Fontaine, she too looked nervous.
"Finn, I know you have been meeting each other alone..." I begin
"It was only once!" Finn exclaimed
"She knows.." I heard Fontaine whisper and I'm sure Will heard it too because he held my hand and squeezed it. It was awkward silence from then.
"Will, I know you don't like me.." began Finn after a few minutes.
"It's Mr Nekton to you but the last bit is correct!" Will said glaring at Finn. Finn began to stammer, it was clear he was nervous. I give Will a glare, he immediately understands what I mean.
My motherly instincts had kicked in at the moment and told me to be more open to Finn. I smiled at him, with slight hesitation he smiled back. After dinner Finn left almost immediately. It was already 9 so everyone was in bed. I went to check on Fontaine, she was asleep with her headphones on. I too them off and placed them on the table beside her. I kissed her goodnight and headed to Ant room. As I entered he was fast asleep with a comic on his head. I take it off and turn the night off.
"Goodnight Ant..." I say quietly
"Goodnight Mom..." Ant mumbled. I chuckle as I make my way back to my room.

Time skip to 10
Fontaine POV
I woke up in the middle of the night to someone shaking me.... it was Finn.
"What are you doing here?" I ask rubbing my eye
"The necklace was half of the Christmas gift, the other half is this!" He said excitedly giving me a neatly wrapped present. I opened it, it was a bracelet with a heart on it. It was decorated with jewels.
"Thank you Finn!" I say hugging him. I saw him going to bright red. I put the necklace and the bracelet on, they were both amazing. I then remember his present. I head to my cupboard and take it outside
"I forgot to wrap it though..." I say
"Doesn't matter really!" He replies
I give him the present, it is a new trumpet.
"Thanks Fontaine, mine was getting a bit rusty too!" He replied with a smile. This was the best Christmas ever I thought to myself.
"Ant! Fontaine! Wake up! We have a important call!" Mom said over her comm sleepily.
Finn had started to panic.
"If Dad sees your here, he will kill you!" I say going outside of my room
"Hide here!" I say pointing at the storage room
"Ok..." Finn says before hurrying into the room.
I nervously make my way to the bridge. Mom looks at me and gives me a look, did she realise?
