"You need to get some sleep"
"Klaus Mikaelson doesn't need to do anything"
Hayley crosses her arms and glared to the stubborn hybrid before her as he looked out the window avoiding eye contact with his little wolf as he felt like he was being stared down as a predictor eyes it's prey.
"If your daughter can do it then so can you now please just come to bed!"
The original shook his head again as he leaned up against the wall next to the bed crossing his arms now too as he looked to the floor. Whatever did he need sleep for anyways he had gone decades without a single moment of slumber so why would he need it now. To look vulnerable and be vulnerable in that state in which only his thoughts were in control.
"You're acting like a child come to bed I'll even take out bedtime stories if that's what you want!"
Hayley loved her Klaus but he at times became so unreasonable that she had to try everything in her power to not completely blow up on him like a crazy mad person. Klaus never slept in bed, which drive Hayley crazy. She'd see him sleeping head down in the art gallery by his desk or leaned up against one of his canvases his cheek getting covered up in paint.
Besides that Hayley was never one to loose an argument, so she stopped to think, what were the few things that might convince Klaus to lie down, if she could get him to just do that then maybe his slumber would just take over. Suddenly it hit her...making herself the victim of the situation.
The brunette then gave herself a drowsy look as she turned her voice from agitated to soft and tired
"Fine...if you aren't gonna sleep then can you at least come here..? I need a pillow..."
Klaus sighed upon looking at Hayley's face so calm and tired that which very low key melted the hybrids heart and all of a sudden his rough expression and stubbornness washed away and he nodded slowly continuing to do as requested.
He finally got into bed and of course Hayley couldn't have been anymore pleased with herself but still having to keep her 'Victim' like exterior she leaned her head onto the hybrids shoulder lightly kissing his cheek as he looked to the ceiling listening to the calm slow heartbeats that belonged to Hayley slowly becoming drowsy.
"There this is much more comfortable don't you think?" Hayley mumbled as she looked up at Klaus softly as he nodded slowly.
"That umm story of yours would be nice anytime now..." the original mumbled in return as he fought the persistent need to want to close his eyes.
"Okay..." Hayley whispered as she moved up onto the bed looking at the ceiling. She began to tell the story of a monster, a figure which everyone feared and how the monster much preferred to keep it that way and quite frankly he roamed as the monster everyone saw him as...however deep down he had longed for so much more...how he was lonely and broken deep down.
Klaus then rolled over and laid his head onto the crescent wolf as well as wrapped his arms around her as she continued to speak of how one faithful day the monster was lurking in the woods when he came across a maiden...however she was different...she did not fear the monster. He confused began to try his best efforts at scaring her however nothing seemed to work she simply was not scared.
Hayley looked down at Klaus as he laid on her chest as she then as well wrapped her arms around him rubbing his back gently rocking him as a mother would rock her child slowly and tenderly.
"Then what happened..." mumbled Klaus extremely quietly yet curiously like a child.
She chuckled softly and continued the story
"Well...at first the monster was a little bit confused but...that didn't seem to stop the maiden from starting a conversation with him and from being feet away from each other with each step the woman took closer the monster seemed less like a monster and more like a person."
"After that day...The Maiden and The now man went almost absolutely everywhere together and the man was never seen as a monster ever again."
Hayley looked down to Klaus and as the slight sound of a snore came from him...Hayley smiled at the realization that he had finally fallen asleep like a child onto her. She very slowly reached for the blankets and continued to cover herself and Klaus in it as he very small smile appeared on his face. Gently the crescent placed a kiss to his cheek as he sniffed and held onto the little wolf in a protective manner."I simply always win" Hayley chuckled softly to herself then turned off the lights.
