"What do you mean you can't marry Caroline?! Of course you can! It's your wedding tomorrow!" Hayley exclaimed as she leaned in and flicked Klaus's forehead.
"Ow-bloody hell Little Wolf! Yes I know it's terrible but it's the truth! I'm not marrying Caroline!" The original snapped back as he rubbed his forehead.
"Why the hell not! Was my speech that bad you don't wanna marry her because in that case I could just-"
"-NO! it's not that at all! Your speech was just so bad it made me realize marrying Caroline would be wrong!" Klaus interrupted as Hayley punched his arm rather roughly.
"Okay first of all! That hurt! I worked a good 2 minutes on that speech and secondly, THE HELL YOU CAN'T MARRY HER KLAUS! You deserve happiness! You deserve someone happy who can love you! How the hell could that ever be wrong?!" Hayley raised her voice back at him extremely confused as to why on earth he'd give up absolute any chance on having the perfect blonde princess to take off into the sunset.
"She's too perfect!" Klaus raised his voice louder back at Hayley causing her to try and slap him before he caught her hand in the act.
"You make absolutely no sense! She's- she's Caroline Forbes! The big hot shot perfect pretty Miss Mystic Falls princess! She's all bubbly, happy and put together! How could you not want that anymore?! It's a perfect life! The life you always wanted! How could you not want that anymore?!"
"BECAUSE IT ISN'T WITH YOU!" Klaus shouted and to that, Hayley and he both froze for a moment.
The crescent alpha backed up.
"Klaus I-"
"It isn't with you alright?..." the blue eyed original sighed as he leaned against the balcony railing looking down.
"When we get married...she has this whole life planned out...she wants us to move back to Mystic Falls, have exactly 3 kids and a dog...she wants me to be some soccer dad with a mini van who lives in a rich neighbourhood where all people do is speak of money and golf country clubs what kind of life is that little wolf?!"
Though the conversation was serious, the image of Klaus wearing some pink fancy golf shirt beside a mini van in Hayley's head made her crack up a bit as she then covered her mouth.
Hearing her crack up, Klaus sighed and shook his head.
"See love? Not even you can picture such a thing!"
"Course I could! It's a really funny visual really..." Hayley said clearing her throat to let him speak.
Klaus scoffed and shook his head as he crossed his arms.
"You and I both know that isn't the kind of man I am...perhaps Elijah but never me...and you, you are so perfectly imperfect! Showing up late! Improvising an entire speech because you nearly forgot to even give it! Living in a tent by a bayou! Lazing around the compound in sweatpants and a hoodie when you are lazy! Hayley Marshall you are a slob!" He continued as Hayley slowly began to bring her hand to a fist to punch him again but even then he kept going.
"And that's exactly why I love you! Because we have barely any expectations for one another...because you know I'm not a perfect super hero or father we're just free...and I see the way the city adores you! Everyone knows of you! Most speak of you kindly and whenever you walk into a room you become the center of attention without even trying! I love you because you're just as imperfect as me! Because you.."
The original just continued to compliment her while looking down at the ground so focused on every word that it came to his massive surprise when he looked up to see Hayley right before him, leaning in a bit when all too quickly, the original grabbed her and kissed her deeply to finally shut himself up.
The kiss was about a minute until Hayley looked down and slowly pulled away looking back up at Klaus, her emerald eyes meeting his icy orbs as she put her hand at his chest.
"So...we gonna get you outta here or what..?"
