HSM: The Series Premiere (Joshua Bassett)

A/N: Finally I write one with Joshua! Here we go! Also thanks so much for 100 reads! This book has only been up for one day! It's crazy!!!!!

You were riding in the limo to the High School Musical: The Series Premiere with your boyfriend Joshua Bassett. The two of you had been dating for 2 years now, and still nobody but your friends, the cast and your families knew you were dating.

You were pretty proud of yourself for keeping the secret for so long. Joshua, on the other hand would sometimes forget. He would try to hold your hands while you were walking. Sometimes he would slap your butt, or try and put his hand in your back pocket. You always slapped his hand away, reminding him that you were in public. You almost got caught once when Joshua leaned in to kiss you. You quickly ducked out of the way and continued walking, Joshua trailing behind. 

As far as the public knew the two of you were just friends. Everyone thought Joshua was in love with Olivia, which thankfully wasn't true. You didn't mind the ships though because it kept the attention on you and Joshua to a minimum.

You finally arrived at the premiere! You exited the limo, Joshua behind you. You walked down the red carpet, said hello to some fans, gave out autographs and took some pictures with people. 

Now you were being interviewed by some reporter. The reporter was very nice. She asked very interesting questions, that weren't at all sexist.

"So tell me y/n. What's your greatest ambition in life?"

You paused to think about it for a second, then the answer slipped into your head, "My goal is to do some good in this world! To help save our planet, to fight for all the different types of love. To help our world, for the better."

The reporter smiled, "That's a great answer. I don't want to take up too much of your time, but I have one last question for you!"

"You're totally fine!" you admitted, "This is fun!"

"Great!" she said, "For out last question I was wondering-"

She was cut off by Joshua sneaking up behind you and grabbing you around the waist, causing you to scream! He then gave you a kiss on the cheek. You completely froze, looking directly at Joshua with a death gaze.

The reporter looked completely shocked, "Umm, forget my other question. Are the two of you dating?"

Joshua let go of you quickly and straightened his suit, "No! Of course not!"

The reporter cocked an eyebrow. She knew she was being lied to and you could see it as well.

You sighed, knowing you'd finally have to admit the truth, "Yes."

Joshua looked at you wide-eyed, "Oh shut up Joshua. You gave it away yourself. We've been dating for about 2 years now. Only our friends, family and the cast knew."

"Congrats you two! It looks like you are both happy together." The reporter looked around her to see if anyone else saw, which they didn't. She turned back to the two of you and asked, "Hey! Can I release this footage? I don't want to expose the two of you without your consent."

You were taken aback by her kindness. No reporter would've ever asked that, "Thanks so much for being so considerate. You really are the best reporter ever. But go ahead and post it, I'm tired of worrying about this dofus exposing us. He doesn't have any self-control. I always have to remind him we're in public whenever he tries to kiss me."

The reporter smiled, "Thanks you two! Have a great night!"

"Thanks! You too!" You said walking away, finally holding Joshua's hand in public.

"Listen Y/N, I'm so sorry! I totally forgot!"

You turned to him and leaned your heads together, "It's alright Joshua. It's about time we can kiss each other in public." You leaned in and kissed him, for once not caring who saw. You could hear the gasps and shrieks all around you. You broke apart after a minute and smiled.

"I love you so much y/n." Joshua said, smiling.

"I love you too Joshua!" you said, kissing him again.
