The Great Escape

Sirens instantly begin blaring as Zed and Eugen subdue the guard that caught them and the whole base is illuminated in red!

"We have to get out of here!" Zed shouts as she and Eugen try to navigate the maze of halls. Guards quickly emerge to try and subdue the two shipgirls, but Eugen successfully keeps them at bay with her gun mounts as they snap at the guards threateningly, scaring them away, and Zed does the same with anyone attempting to pursue them.

"At least that'll hold them off for now! We need to meet up with Zuikaku and Tirpitz!" Eugen says as she and Zed successfully escape the Royal Navy base and the two main ships quickly bring out their weapons.

"What happened in there?! The whole place is going into lockdown!" Zuikaku asks.

"We were caught by a guard, but not before getting some incriminating photos." Zed replies. "We just need to hightail it and make sure they're not following us."

"Too late! Look out!" Tirpitz shouts as she shoots down a group of planes with her AA guns.

"Holy light grant me power!" A voice shouts as a girl in a long white gown emerges. Her hat obscures some of her face, but not her blood red eyes or the carrier strip on her back.

"Wait who's THAT?!" Zed asks. "She's probably been fitted with those chips as well!"

"Let me deal with this woman! You all fall back!" Zuikaku shouts as she charges forward and brings out her sword.

"What are you doing?!" Tirpitz shouts, but suddenly takes back her words as Zuikaku slashes the carrier clean in two before she explodes, leaving Zuikaku unharmed. "I stand corrected."

"Alright, let's get going, or they'll send another one of their ships on us." Zuikaku says as the group heads back to the Ironblood base where the others await them.

"How did everything go?" Shoukaku and Bismarck ask.

"They ended up getting caught but Zed did get some interesting photos inside." Zuikaku replies as everyone groups up around Zed.

"Yeah, this is what we found." Zed says as she produces the picture of the strange assembly line style part of the facility.

"They're churning out these ships as fast as the women of the second world war..." Enterprise mumbles. "Are they trying to build an army or something?"

"How are we supposed to know?" Wales asks. "We're basically refugees, and god forbid if they find us."

"And then there was this box full of chips, the same kinds that drove Jack to that crazed rampage." Eugen says as Zed produces that picture. "And then there was a strange room where they fitted the chips." She adds as that picture is produced.

"Eugh... It looks like a mechanical spider." Hood says. "And what are the other six arms used for?"

"I'd have to assume they grab someone, lock them in place and those other two arms do the dirty work." Enterprise replies. "It's almost frightening to even look at it..." She mumbles before she suddenly reels back and holds her head in pain.

"Enterprise?!" Yorktown asks. "Are you alright?!"

"My head... Why won't it go away?!" Enterprise mutters as she starts falling to the ground but Yorktown breaks her fall. "How many times has this happened again?"

"At this rate you might need to sit out for a few battles." Bismarck says. "If you recover enough though I won't hesitate to get you back out there, but try to take it easy."

"I'll try." Enterprise replies as Yorktown leads her back to the bedroom so she can rest.

"I think we're all worried about Enterprise." Zuikaku says.
